Apparantly hes passed his medical tonight and he'll be unveiled tomorow in our new away shirt.

I wont hold my breath .

I've been reading the same from a few different sources, no idea who they are like. Fingers crossed.

 

It's everywhere but we all know they copy each other these Twitters etc.

If the Russians won't lower their £5m asking price then we can't be paying them £1m per month - no matter how much our income has increased

 

It could cost us a hell of a lot more than £5 million if we dont have a player of his quality for half a season. If we are not willing to bite the bullet over £5 million for a potential £15-20 million player then our finances must be horrendous. And whats he gonna be doing between now and January if he stays there? He'll not be 100% match fit by the time he arrives. So we wont get the best out of him till mid February at the very earliest. That sounds no good to me!

I keep dragging it back, but Moyes has had a couple of weeks. The other premiership managers have had since May.

Our transfer window will be going to the last day, I have a feeling we'll be bringing a 10m+ player and a 15m+ player in, by the time it shuts.

 

I hope you're right mate. It doesn't make sense as it stands. There must be money there to spend.

 

I honestly dont see the problem with the Russians asking for £5 million. I know he only has 5 months left on his contract but the way fees have inflated this season I am surprised that the havnt asked for more, considering they'll know how important he is to us. I'm even more surprised that we havnt taken their hands off. Which leads me to believe that there is something else preventing this transfer from going through.

 

I said ages ago we should sign a pre contract agreement with him. It makes the last 6 months of his contract worthless to Kazan. Should be able to get him for that start of the season much cheaper. All we have is Press Gossip to go on. Kazan could really be taking the piss for all we know. Now if they take the piss they'll get nothing at all. Only thing is I would have got him to sign a pre agreement on the 1st of July. Not waited till now.
