For Assault: "Rennes midfielder Yann M'Vila has been released from police custody after being arrested in connection with an alleged assault of a 17-year-old man. The France international, who missed his club's Ligue 1 clash with Ajaccio for "personal reasons" and is understood to be a target for Arsenal, has been accused of striking the teenager at his home on Friday night. "Yann has acknowledged that it was an inappropriate response but provoked by the betrayal of the trust he gave to this young man," M'Vila's lawyer, Thierry Fillion, told L'Equipe. "As it stands, no decision has been taken yet by the Rennes prosecutor on this case but the file will be forwarded to him within eight to 10 days." M'Vila was arrested on Monday and spent the night in police custody before being released at 12:00BST the following morning." http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/3274...arget-mvila-released-after-being-arrested-for Does this alter anyone's opinion of whether or not Arsene should sign him?? Is a fiery trouble-maker what Arsenal want / need? Podolski has a bit of a reputation, RvP has in the past, and now potentially M'Villa too?
For all we know it could be a couple of harmless slaps. It's not like teenagers knowadays don't deserve a good slapping
Sounds like the snivelling brat got what he deserves! Nothing wrong with a dry slap once in a while to show them who's boss!
Innocent until proven guilty. But no, if he is guilty I don't want him. I believe we should have class and some things are more important than winning. If I was running arsenal I would have a "no twats need apply" policy to who I employed.
Yeh I do. Not to say I dont believe in second chances. However people at arsenal should have proven they have turned the corner or are trying to first.
Too many.fighters with pod and this guy though these things.are usually blown out of proportion...vertonghen for.dm......please!
Depends on the nature of the assault. If it's one punch, I'm willing to forgive. If the guy is battered, then definitely not.
Being arrested and actually getting charged are two different things. Podolski will already add a bit of much needed aggression and tenacity to our squad and M'Villa would do the same.
errr.....apparently yann slapped a 17yr old kid (just slapped) for lieing about having no knowledge of an affair between some man and a girl yann had a crush on. At least thats what i could find on the net it apparently originates from some journalist on twitter...bizzare!
Whatever happened to finding out the facts, before making your mind up. Seems to me that we have far too many nicey nicey players, we could do with a little more aggression. It also sends out a message to the Stokies etc. of this world, mess with M'Villa at your peril, can't wait until he signs.
Really couldn't give a sh*t. I might draw the line at signing someone like Marlon King (and not just because he's f*cking terrible).
Its time some fans got their heads out of the clouds and back into the real world. Footballers are just that - footballers, they are not saints, they are normal human beings lucky to get paid very well for kicking a football around. they are NOT here to help raise people's kids, so that old nonsense about setting an example is rubbish, if you are relying on a footballer to help set an example to your kids you shouldn't, in my opinion, have had kids in the first place - use a condom.
