http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/news/ligue-1-rennes-warn-qpr-mvila-deal-130155898.html Ligue 1 - Rennes warn QPR over M'Vila deal QPR have been warned that they will have to increase their offer for Yann M'Vila if they are to secure a deal for the Rennes midfielder. Manager Harry Redknapp said on Tuesday that "the deal looks okay" when discussing the possibility of recruiting the France international for a reported fee of £7 million. M'Vila was previously a target for both Arsenal and Tottenham and Redknapp went on to claim that Rennes "turned down £28m from an English club for him a year ago". However, Rennes general manager Pierre Dreossi has now warned that rival clubs have come into the picture and QPR may have to increase their valuation of the midfielder. He told Eurosport.fr: "The QPR offer is not sufficient ... other clubs have offered more."
Hope not but I suspect TF and HR might drop this one if they push their luck. We can survive without another midfielder (assuming we keep hold of 2 out of M'bia, Diakite and Granero). I hate to be greedy but where's the bloody defenders 'Arry?
Wonder is this deal linked to Diakite leaving? Can't see us needing Faurlin, Derry, Diakite, Granero, Park, Mbia and MVila as central midfielders.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Remy deal has also alerted Rennes to the possibility that the Rs have deeper pockets.
Why the **** did he have to mention 28 million, before we had even signed him I thought it was a foolish thing to say
Agree with this....Hope Remy is a really good acquisition and if M'Vila joins then thats 2 high end under 30's on board which is a big difference to the highly paid ageing misfits Hughes signed. At least they have sell on potential unlike most of MH's dross. However.........still a big hole to be filled in the defence assuming RN will be off sooner rather than later. Difficult to make a confident looking back 4 out of what's left and as for back-up..worrying.
ARRY just on sky seems to think the deal is done. He even talked 'post' signing say 'he thought the 2 he has brought in will do good stuff'. He then said he is after 2/3 loans and a free transfer. Didn't once get the feeling that anything was wrong, so hopefully all is ok and its the usual crap that people spout. Did i not read yesterday that another team came in for Remy and he was undicided?

QPR are close to signing Yann M'Vila from QPR, but the deal is not quite done yet. The transfer of Loic Remy is complete, with the striker unveiled on the club's official website. M'Vila is one of French football's hottest properties, and will have been under consideration of several manager this window, but Harry Redknapp spoke yesterday that he hopes he convinced the midfielder to sign by selling QPR as a 'stepping stone' to a bigger club. It is reported by CityAM that Fulham are in fact considering enraging their rivals by making a play for the midfielder, but we just wonder if Tottenham will weigh in with a late offer too. Spurs are well-stocked with top class defensive midfielders, but an unexpected development has caused them to 're-evaluate' their transfer plans according to reports. This is because midfield star Sandro went down with a knee injury against QPR at the weekend, and has undergone surgery on it. Early reports, which claim Sandro is out for the rest of the season, the worst fear, it is terrible news for Spurs. He has been one of their best players this season and the injury could seriously derail their Champions League push. Already Jake Livermore's move to QPR has been cancelled as a result. The silver lining is the return of Scott Parker from injury, but what if he breaks down again? With Yann M'Vila - A player Tottenham have been linked with regularly over the past six months - available for just £6 million, he would be a shrewd investment. They will have to move super-quick, QPR hope to tie up the deal by the weekend. But if it isn't too late, don't rule it out just yet, as QPR showed with their gazumping of Newcastle's deal for Loic Remy, it's not done until it's done """"
From West London Sport """"" Rangers boss Redknapp faces missing out on Tottenham man – reports 17/01/2013 by West London Sport QPR face missing out on the loan signing of Jake Livermore, according to reports. Rangers have agreed a deal with Tottenham and expect the midfielder to spend the rest of the season at Loftus Road despite Spurs star Sandro suffering a knee injury. But the Daily Mirror suggest R’s boss Harry Redknapp’s hopes of getting Livermore have been dented because of Sandro being sidelined, while The Sun say Tottenham have cancelled the move. The Daily Mail say West Brom forward Peter Odemwingie may request a transfer in order to force a move to west London and that Rangers remain in talks to sign 33-year-old Lyon full-back Anthony Reveillere. Chelsea have not received a single offer for Florent Malouda, The Sun report. It is suggested that the club may even consider letting him leave on a free transfer in order to get his wages – reported to be £75,000 per week – off the payroll. A source is quoted as saying: “It’s becoming a very awkward situation. “He wants to leave and the club want him to leave. But while he is not playing for the first team he has dropped off the radar and clubs forget about him. “Chelsea would think about waiving a fee just to get something done if the right club came in.” Meanwhile, Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert may hijack Fulham’s bid for Derek Boateng, according to the Mirror. The Ghana international, 29 is expected to move to Craven Cottage from FC Dnipro but Lambert is said to be looking for a holding midfielder. The Mail say Fulham are pressing ahead with talks over a move for Roma goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenberg, while the Mirror say the Whites are set to sign him. """"""""
I said the same about REMY when it looked like he had snubbed us and was gone for all money, to Newcackle.
3 clean sheets out of 4, don't think he wants to play with it too much right now. And who can argue.........well most of this board actually.
French paper talk; L'Equipe: Yann M'vila should leave Rennes very soon after already agreeing terms with QPR. Rennes are supposed to want €12m, while QPR have offered €8.5m with €1.5m bonuses so far. However Zenith St-Petersburg, Rubin Kazan, Reading and Fulham are also candidates. L'Equipe: QPR forward Djibril Cisse was in Qatar on Wednesday to have first talks with Al-Gharafa, the club which just signed Nene.
