It’s funny, being a football fan. For 9 to 10 months of the year your emotions go up and down and for two months your blood pressure, starts to come down.

I think following QPR it’s not just your hopes, dreams and emotions that go up and down, but your outlook on life. From a personal perspective, my swear box gets fuller and my patience gets shorter.
I have followed QPR nearly all my life. It has been suggested that when I feel down some stairs aged three I must have landed on my head……and as a result I became a QPR fan. However I think it was being at a school with a load of Liverpool fans that made me want to support the R’s.

Anyways, I digress – the road to the promised land called the Premiership. We are now in probably the strongest and toughest division. Nearly all teams have played in the top tier at some stage, however bad management, bad season or dodgy chairman have all helped to get us in this league.
Managers that over spend on players not worthy in wearing the shirt, some coming for a final payday and some who join and suffer personal tragedy which would undoubtedly affect their playing performances.

My club should have a motto “IF there are two choice which would you choose, Easy Street or Difficult Avenue”……..if you have followed the R’s as long as I have you know they never choose easy route. Well, they dabbled with Mark Hughes and Harry Redknapp but that bit them on the arse, so they tried with Chris Ramsay and now JFH. Straight away there are two very different types of manager – the cheque book ones and the bargain bucket ones – and they are forced to shop accordingly. I don’t care where they shop, as long as their purchases wear the shirt with pride and give 100% all the time.

Newcastle……reminds me so much of the Vauxhall Motors disaster, Milk Cup Final and there have been other games. Losing 5 -0 away to Spuds when Clive Allen scored 3……is another that bloody hurts.
However I do remember a 5 5 draw with the Geordies after being 4 nil down at half time – and I believe we had a further 2 goals disallowed as well.

We are 8 games into the season. JFH has started to get his team together. He has had to move out players that do not want to be with us. The team will probably get a butt kicking again at some point and whilst we are all managers in our own little world, we should get behind JFH and encourage. The players may not be the players we really want to see but years of mismanagement have got us into this place. We could quite easily have a game where every shot goes in – however unlikely that may sound at present it would be the natural QPR thing to do. And 3rd round of a cup competition……for the first time in ages we got to the 3rd round. We have to rest and mix the team up – it is a squad game after all.

Mid table to play off should be a reasonable expectation for our team, if we reach the promised land are we really set up to stay? And if JFH leaves who really wants to come to a club that offers a 3 years deal of which you see on average maybe 15 month in charge.

Professional pride in what you do is what we all want to see – so let’s hope JFH can turn this around against Birmingham on Saturday

    Football will eat itself
We are best out of it IMO

Until we forge a better plan that is

Could anyone on here honestly imagine if we did go up this year
How would the money be spent by our current lot ?

Catch 22 IMO if we do grow a side maybe just as a dream ... The premier league will rape any good players

I see only the Cups being worth while for teams like us in the future

Early on in this season I can only see Norwich and Newcastle dominating and one of them could win this league by Febuary
