http://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/qpr-eye-crystal-palace-striker-in-exchange-for-mutch8342? Frasier Campbell of CP... If we are getting in MVila (although I think unlikely), one of our midfielder would be redundant...and I think we all might say that Barton and Fer are better than Mutch (Henry and Sandro are in my mind in a different category) So possible...although Campbell is definitely not a high flyer What do you all think
I would take it. I think Frasier Campbell is a decent player and therefore decent back-up to Charlie. Mutch looks surplus to requirements at the moment but I think he will come good in time. He will be a very good player for us in the Championship next season
Mutch cost us £6 million. Campbell cost Palace £1 million. You don't have to be very clever to see that it's bad business. If a trade with Palace was on for Mutch then only Gayle should be an alternative imo.
If it was a permanent deal, I agree. Given that we need a back up striker more than we need a back up midfielder, ok as a swap on loan to the end of the season.
No. Mutch is young and there's clearly a good player in there. Every player we have who has underporformed you HAVE to add in the Redknapp Factor. I personally wouldn't get rid of anyone under the age of 25 from our current crop. They will be different players when someone with an ounce of sense comes in.
Just realised that it is not a loan arrangement that is being muted. Absolutely no way on a permanent deal.
While I'm not a fan of Campbell he would offer a different dimension to Charlie up front but he does need to be motivated which is recently seems to be our problem. Mutch just hasn't really had a chance with us and to be honest I don't think I can take Mutch more of the Puns.......
Based on his performances I'm really struggling to see a decent footballer in Mutch. would take the deal
it all went wrong when Yun got injured....and Dunne was rested No longer...................... Dunne to Mutch, Mutch to Yun So lets blame Richard Dunne and Yun Suk-Yun
I heard earlier that Palace had offered £4 million for Mutch and we were holding out for nearer £5.5 million. I don't see Campbell being anywhere near that sort of price. I'd rather we just held out for the right price if he's going...
I would bite their hand off. We've got some strikers now and I do think it'd be good to have one more who is not always a starter. But we desperately need a RB and LB.
Have you seen the price of strikers in the Championship? Palace are supposed to be offering that kind of money for Rudy Gestede and he's not even one of the big ones ffs. Campbell is easily good enough to be a starting striker at the top of the Championship so he's worth that kind of money, it's his greedy bastard nature, his twunt of a father/agent, and his complete lack of class that are the issues with him.
Crystal Palace have agreed a fee of £4.75m plus add-ons with Queens Park Rangers for Jordon Mutch, Sky sources understand.
