felt a bit sick watching him talking to flanagan..... rogder the dodger does seem to have a high opinion of himself...... all the time they were going on about brendans philosophy and they've got 2 from 4 games!
I thought it was really staged or "well managed". Any decent fly-on-the-wall documentary on football would include the last battle between the club to last employ the incoming manager but I guess we need to remember this one was made for an American audience. We'll have to see how the next one pans out.
Rogers done well for himself, given a chance by us and did a very good job, then a move to a massive club set for life, and now his own tv show ! I wonder who will play his part when he gets a film made about his life ? Ali G be a good shout ?
This first episode did make Rogers look like some kind of incoming God... Liverpool FC even give him a heavenly palace to preside.
The Brendan Rodgers Show This week Brendan shows us his big swanky house and introduces us to meaningless family members and his dogs. Later on Brendan will be chatting with this weeks guests, Fabio Borini and the Boston Red Sox coach whose name no-one can remember.
Yes, that house looked more like an office building rather than a "home", and the family!!!!! say no more. He does seem to think that he is the second coming, the one to lead us all into the light, follow the messiah all the way !!!!!!! Still, it does appear to be interesting insight into "how the other half live", we`ll wait & see.
Was going to ask you lot about this last night... long time no see! Overall it was a decent shirt selling exercise... we hit record viewing figures in America and it's being given a prime slot next week. No harm in it so far. Rodger's house/car look decent enough don't they? I think as fans of the English game who follow it closely we have to take these sort of things as they are - PR/for stupid people - but as a Liverpool fan it's nice to see players interacting, training etc. Man City actually do a fantastic online service for their fans with loads of free video content from training, really entertaining.
I thought the whole Red Sucks visit was a great inconvenience to Bobby Valentine (team manager) and his team. The look of "thrill" upon his face when he received the Gerrard shirt was priceless. I don't think such an intrusion would be tolerated before a Prem game.
BR clearly had no idea what to say to him/thought he was an idiot/was put off by him. The 'NICE!' moment was funny.
Just talking to one of my mates about it and he summed it up beautifully. He said it was like 'the office' with footballers
