After a dreadful week personally, you know when it's nearly time to Hoya the towel in when you read that a Coldplay album has been voted the best album of all time. I cannot believe some of the professional droids I have had to encounter this week but to hear about Coldplay's joy just proves how ****ing sad British music has become and how one eared and perforated at that, the cool and trendy brigade are that voted for them. Can't remember the albums name but 'clocks' was on it, heard it once and once was enough.. Anyway roll on Sunday, will be tuned in from Wakefield hospital, ha'waaaaaaaaaay the laaaaaaaaaads..
Good luck with that, Joe. The hospital thing, that is. Not the music BTW Black Sabbath Vol 4 is the best album...
Sometimes I hate the music industry, I work in it and its full of crap.... but if you take away the back slappers, arse kissers and general cnuts... there are some very genuine and great people out there. My personal favorites: Led Zep 2, Deep Purple in Rock, Black Sabbath Paranoid,
Thanks lads, it been a hellova week, being a stalwart to my Lollie for three and a half years I actually dropped my head into my hands and cried when she came out of theatre on Wednesday, been through a lot in my years but how I wanted to change places with her just to take the pain away from her. Not fair this life and living stuff..
I preferred zep 3, argus w/ash, isle of white Taste, echoes/ Floyd and much different but teaser and the firecat,/ cat stevens..
Argus was a great album. Not much of a Floyd fan, my mate Dave is in a Floyd tribute band who are based in the north east, I have never seen them but they are supposed to be really good.
It's just a generation thing Vegas, there's bands I have seen in the 70's for you as a guitarist would make your toes curl..
Well done sir, you picked their best and a cracking Brian May solo with his tanner (sixpence piece) in his hand..
Played this tonight for first time in couple years, will offend you old crows, but believe me this is a ****ing bomb!
Was quite partial to an album called Family Entertainment, by Family. Roger Chapman had a great voice, best track was Hung up down. The lyrics of which are so true today. Will have to give it another spin.
You're all wrong. Phenomenon is the best studio album, and Strangers in the Night the best live album.
Dave Anderson of Shine On? Seen them loads of times, close your eyes and it could be the real thing, they are excellent and on at Customs House lter this month.
