Rained off today. Will (hopefully) go ahead tomorrow. Good for him I think, being a Brit he must take stuff like this in his stride and it will give him an extra day to rest after that 5 setter. Just seen pictures of him on SSN, I have never seen him so jovial, at ease with the press, enjoying banter with other players and generally looking totally relaxed. He also looks more mature somehow. I think if ever he is going to win a slam it is this year.
It was good that they cancelled it early so he didn't have to hang around for ages, I think he is playing on granstand court (third biggest court) tomorrow at 4pm uk time. That what it is saying on the official website anyway, bring on tomorrow lol. Probably means he would also be playing on Thursday (if he wins). However with this being the US open its difficult to tell and the semis are on the Saturday.
Good for him I think, being a Brit he must take stuff like this in his stride and it will give him an extra day to rest after that 5 setter. .......... how cna it be good? he now has to play 4 times in 5 days if he wants to win the title, having 1 day more rest against a player he should beat easy and 1 day less rest during the remainder of the tournament against harder players isnt good
Farcical stuff, Annabel Croft was saying the people in the bottom half of the draw (Murray, Nadal...) are going to have to play four matches in four days. They should extend the tournament (or buy a ****ing roof) if they keep losing days to the weather, players have already been dropping like flies through injury without being forced to potentially play 20 sets of tennis in four days.
