With very little transfer activity happening, at least a glimmer of hope. a bid has been accepted for the Falkrik centre back Murray Walker. I can't sit here and say I know anything about him, but what I do know is that Simon Clegg has a reputation for royally ****ing up the personal details when we have a bid accepted. Shaun Derry is the first one which springs to mind? So, with Brighton and Huddersfield having also had a bid accepted I am taking a keen interest in where this goes. For me, I would love to get him in but I have a feeling we once again wont seal the deal and will get to the 1st February with a squad in a worse state than when the transfer window opening. And thats without selling anyone! Doesn't add up for a team who desperately need reinforcements. Yes we had huffed and puffed with a few bids but what will really annoy me is if we end up at the end of the transfer window with no new signings and the club coming out and saying something along the lines of "we put bids in for numerous players, showing our intent, but unfortunately none of them could materialise". I bet my bottom dollar they havent materialised because we either under bidded for the players therefore making it a process which will take weeks to meet a valuation, or we cocked up the contract stage. Either way, we have, in my opinion we have 4 days which could end up defining what division we will be playing our football in next year. any thoughts on this situation? anybody seen murray wallace play?
