Daryl Murphy - Celtic - £300k - Winger/Striker Steve Davies - Derby - £1 mil - Striker Alan Judge - Notts Cty - £800k - £1 mil - Winger/Striker Björn Bergmann Sigurdarson - Lillestrøm - Too much - Striker A few of the latest links seem like they would be good additions, especially Judge and Davies both of a decent age and have undoubted talent, personally i would welcome these two!! Daryl Murphy is less of an exciting signing but at £300k i think its a good bit of business!! Björn Bergmann Sigurdarson would be a fantastic signing but with other bigger clubs looking and the fact that he still has 2yrs left on contract i feel this is a waste of time as we aint got a prayer!! One thing of note, note of these are defenders or goalkeepers

I guess we're waiting for Ward to blow us out...... Murphy or Judge? I can't see us bringing them both in. I bet Carson is about to throw is toys out of the pram. You would have thought that only having ALB between the sticks and Smith & Delaney as centre-backs would necessitate a sorting out at the back first? Jewell is still on his hols and Clegg is busy pulling snakes out of trees. ME is in Antigua or wherever he avoids tax. Maybe someone saw a light on at Fortress PR and counted that as activity...
Is there any proof that we are interested in any of them? I think the only one which the club has mentioned is Murphy. I imagine we will be linked to loads of players this summer and I would imagine that maybe 1/6 of them will actually have any substance behind them.
Davies an obvious link as Jewell signed him for Derby I believe. He is definitely for sale so a fair offer and he could be ours, scored a few goals once he had a decent run in the side, think he would be a good addition. Murphy, at 300k and assuming he will be on sensible wages you can't argue with that, at worst a decent squad player. Judge, exactly the sort of player we want, poached from lower league, hungry and ready to make the step up. The Norwegian, unknowns are always exciting, would be nice to think we could get him here.
JWM - any proof of that - not doubting you but like to see things in concrete rather than the rumour mill.
Apparently the Judge thing is more than just a rumour, and we may have even put a bid in for him. The Icelander (sorry YL but he is icelandic but plays in Norway, i think) will cost way too much, some reports of over £3 mil
Shame we didn't go in for Sigurdarson earlier, perhaps that wouldn't have helped anyway, bound to want to keep his options open. Yes your right Spanish he is Icelandic, I stand corrected!
This Icelandic fella might not be out of our league, I remember Victor Moses being linked with Barcelona, Man Utd et al, but ended up at Wigan and I'm sure there are a few other where big clubs have had a look and turned their noses up and they've ended up going a league or two below and plying their trade their. That said if the price tag is that high we won't be making any further enquiries. As for Judge and Davies, would be very happy with these two, although I imagine us putting in a bid has only started a long winded drawn out affair where the club and agent go round rustling up interest and we lose out in the 11th hour to Burnley or Cardiff etc.... Though I could be proved wrong
I’m all for Alan Judge – exactly the sort of player we should be after as everyone’s been saying. Where have we been linked with Steve Davies though? I hope we have because sounds pretty decent. Only 24 and can play left midfield and up front. Sigurdarson (if we are to believe the BBC rumours) is linked with a 4 million move to Everton, so we have nay chance there. As for Murphy, I was about to say that with the amount of headed chances we missed in the last months of the season I did ponder what might have been if we’d played him up front. Then I remembered that it was Murphy that missed most of them.
With the exception of Murphy these are the type of players I like to see us being linked with. However I'm hoping there's other thongs happening behind the scenes that we don't know about- we really need to sort our defensive options
