How much would you take for our top scorer and our best chance to get a striker over the 20 goal mark for a good few seasons........
He isn't going anywhere so your question isn't relevant imo. Put it another way he is far more valuable to us then he would be to anyone else!
That was pretty much what I meant because I doubt his value is that high but to us this season has been priceless........a lot of people were keen on Sharp would you swap the two?? I think Murphy is irreplaceable atm
I wouldn't swap Murphy for Sharp! Murphy is having the season of his life and he loves playing for Town why would he take a huge gamble now especially at this stage in his career!
How ironic that this story surfaces when the player has only a few months left on his contract, and is probably in negotiations right now. But, to answer your question - surely he's not worth more than £1m - £1.5m tops (which is wahat i would take). If he did happen to go to another prem club, then i believe he would be an instant flop (if he got game time)
I think whenever a prem team need a striker the papers just look who has scored most in the championship and link them to a move.
Yep, that's pretty much it Weighty. Murphy won't want to go anywhere and we don't have to get rid of him so there's really nothing to see here.
Murphy is contracted to the summer of 2016 with the option of a further year, currently in talks to stay even longer, he clearly has no plans to move on, why would you at best move sideways?
" But, to answer your question - surely he's not worth more than £1m - £1.5m tops (which is wahat i would take). " Only thing going against him is age * Champ top scorer * Jan window quickly slamming shut * We're not in a financial position that we desperately need to sell/ have said we won't * Contract nowhere near the end I would imagine for a minimum fee considering we're in the mix for auto promotion would be £3.5 mill. I'd imagine should we be keen to do business we could MAYBE get between £4 - £5 mill - Prem clubs get a ridiculous amount due to the tv deals etc and prices are pushed up accordingly.
Straight swap for Tom Hudds, that would be the only deal for me. Then you have your creative midfielder to supply Sears snd Didz!! Never gonna happen tho, so No Deal.
He's going nowhere. We don't need to sell. Mick has set his stall out by saying no one is leaving. Murph,Bish,Mings, who next to be in the rumour mill. I'm sure this squad know they're potentially on to something special and will want to have a crack at the prem as a unit.
