How do people feel about these? Personally, I'm not too keen on the idea. I realise there are good intentions behind it, but the road to Hell etc...... It has some uses for match days and such but I think it'll get more abuse than a vegan in a pie shop. Unless mods for each individual forum have the ability to remove any irrelevant or inflammatory posts I think it could cause more trouble than it's worth. Hope I'm wrong.
I understand what you are saying but I think everybody is just trying it out at the moment. I'm sure that once the season starts, it will be used for matchday threads and not much else. If threads are made to wind people up, they will probably get closed.
I like the fact people are trying to evolve the site and try new things, it's to be commended. I do however worry that this function was the heart of the problem with Wumming on the old 606. It absolutely will encourage Utd supporters (for example) to post on our board, and that in itself will draw more Wummary/Wumming/Wummage, even if some of them have good intentions. The general lack of wind-ups on this board and the consistent modding are 2 of the features that keep me here. Both of these will worsen, it's just a case of what will the benefits be? I'll keep an open mind and give it a chance, but perhaps it could be refined to limit it to 2 teams, so that it's more likely to be used just on match days.

I think it's a good thing, it's a shame mods can't opt their forum out of multi forum threads to nip wumming in the bud but should any sillyness occur i'll get straight on to Mick & Syd
Expect exploit with any feature, doesn't mean we should all miss out. Personally I think only a maximum of say two boards is good with Moderators able to create a thread which will appear on all boards if they wish. So if there is something you want done across many boards you can contact a moderator (e.g. Not 606 Fantasy Super League)
In spite of Skrtels Nips trying to up his post count by duplicating posts, I have to agree with this: Has anyone actually SEEN the state of JA606 recently?????? It's a ****ing kindergarden
I signed up for ja when it opened but gave up as it just got silly. I haven't been back for weeks. It's much better here and I want to keep it that way. I don't want to see our board spammed by a load of stuff that we're not really interested in, that's all. If it turns out I'm concerned over nothing, great.
