First half a bit rocky but we were in full control despite being not much of a threat, 2nd half we came out and took it to them, as soon as the first went in it was a case of how many by! Nice to see Luiz and Drogba score with Lamps getting his customary goal against Bolton. Played with confidence and belief in that 2nd half and hopefully that showed AVB what difference it makes with Lamps and Essien on the field! That trio of Essien, Lamps and Ramires was top class today!

An easy(ish) run of games now, West Brom away then Stoke at home with a trip to St Andrew's sandwiched inbetween; 6 points an progression to the next round please boys and that could give us the confidence to beat Napoli!

Let's hope this has ENDED this horrible 2 months and we can get back to winning ways (finally <grr>)

Much more like it. Lampard and Drogba showed what they can do and stepped up today. David Luiz scored a great goal from 18 yards out. Good header from Drogba. Nice cross from Mata which set up Lampard for his goal. 3 goals, clean sheet, 3 points and great result. Also like you said the midfield trio of Rami, Essien and Lamps played great football on the counter. COYB!

Glad you lot got back to winning ways today, hopefully i can read a paper now without talk of your manager on thin ice every day lol. Will watch on match of the day later, in regards to Luiz, you said he scored a 18 yard goal? I don't see why your manager doesn't play him up front/ in midfield, every game i've seen he looks vulnerable at times every match at the back but looks like a absoulete machine going forward, I see a lot of chelsea fans moaning about a lack of creativity as well so maybe he would add some as he seems to be very fast.
Well done on the win anyway

This is what we want. Hopefully a couple of 3-0, 3-1 so we can string a nice run of wins together and improve that goal difference. That midfield looked class today. Take note AVB

Better than any winger we've got.

Instead of posting on here, shouldn't you be moping in the wake of your defeat to 20th place Nottingham Forest?

    I'm being sensible, pal.

I'm not too bothered about today's result; these things happen.

It was just a small blip and we're still on course for promotion.

Besides, it was a decent performance.

After watching the game on motd thought you was back to near your best today although the defence still looked edgy at times. If i was manager i'd swap positions for Luiz and Essien, Essien is a quality player and agree with what Shearer and Lineker said, he is obviously nowhere near as fast as he use to be though. Essien - CB, Luiz - Midfield would be better imo

Yeah I think most of us want to see Luiz in the holding midfield position, doubt it will happen though as AVB has put all his faith in Luiz overcoming his critics.

Thought Luiz justified that faith today, didn't see him put a foot wrong. he and Cahill looked much more comfortable with each other. Luiz' anticipation was excellent, he cut out several dangerous passes. Great going forward, a couple of very classy passes and a goal to boot.
Big improvement today from everyone. Do I sense a change in attitude ??? Lampard looked interested, but for mine gets away with it against Bolton, but just a tad too slow on the ball, and will get caught by quicker/ better players. Still huge improvement, and perfect positioning for another great goal. Maybe his role needs to be thought out a bit better. He certainly provides plenty when he's up for it. All the rest stepped up well. Brana, Ramires, Essien, Sturridge all played well. Drogba didn't put himself about as he used to do, but gave plenty.
All in all, a good nights sleep coming up for once. Well done to all.
