(Just thought I´d break my sojourn for a brief visit)

    ´Tis much ado about nowt
    These rumours flying about,
    To the left and right
    And centre, like blight
    Just media out spreading doubt

I think by now we should all know
The profile Lambert keeps is low,
    Until, in his way
    He´s something to say
Which then he´ll not be slow to show

    The few intimations he´s made
    When quizzed, have continually laid,
    All rumours to rest
    Despite the real zest
    Some reporters always parade

As recently as under the lights
    After Adam Drury´s big night,
    When, surprise, surprise
    Chris Goreham the wise
Just couldn´t resist one more bite

I´ve not seen him yet lose his cool
    Despite having to fend tomfool,
    Inquiries here
    And inane tips there
He´s still shining brightly, our jewel

And I´m sure McNally will find
A way to ease what´s on Grant´s mind,
    Whatever it be
    Is private, you see
And handled that way, it´s most kind

So here in my puppy-filled May
What I´ve heard has caused no dismay,
    Just waiting to see
    Who eventually
PL brings in, to go and play...

..alongside Holt and all the rest
Next season, which again will test,
    Each and every one
    But boy, is it fun
This league, one of the world´s best. OTBC

Sorry! got to go, dog´s calling :)

On a side note, Carra_Rud was trying to contact you, don't know if he was successful!

so just what has the dog trained you to do, mine barks in the morning and I get out of bed and let him out, he barks again and I feed him, he was very patient but I got the hang of it eventually

<laugh> jarold - well up to now I´ve managed to get him out of bed, before he gets me out of mine, just. After that it´s very much give and take, but we´re coming along swimingly thanks, the 14 days he´s been with us have already felt like 2 years, but we expected that :emoticon-0141-whew: Days are long and tiring, but very rewarding <ok>

Hi RBF bor, nice to know Rex has got you in tow LOL. Re PL. Brilliant his handling of the situation. When he is good and ready to move on, he'll soon let us know.

Us old 'uns have seen it all before. Steve Bruce when City said no and Bruce said yes. The outcome City had to back down and Brucie boy left for Man Utd; same with Robert Fleck. Chelsea wanted him, again City said no. I have a vivid recollection of seeing Fleck run onto the field of play and that was his sum total effort that day. City got the message and off went Fleck.

Managers that have left us for bigger clubs and come unstuck. Ron Saunders left us for Aston Villa. John Bond thought the air at Man City would improve his career, that career is still unfulfilled; Mike Walker favoured a different scene from Norwich and thought Everton would provide a fillip to his ego. Tough luck.

Only manager I can commiserate with is Martin O'Neil, he did deserve better from our board at that time.

Incidentally who is King of the castle: You or Rex ?

One consolation. We have made a lot of other club fans happy. Our country cousins have had a good laugh at our expense, but then they don't have much to celebrate, do they? A Quens Park Whinger fan called our team "girls" fancy being beaten twice by a team of "girls!"

PS Like your take on Shakespeare.

Evening NORKIE, as you say, we´ve seen it all before, nowhere near time for pressing the panic button yet.

I think at the moment, the ´king of the castle´ label still sits with me, but I´m under no illusions that that may soon all change, when he reaches full velocity. :)
