    I think most of us feared this was inevitable. :(

    For all the downside, the very fact that he survived and can live a relatively normal life is something to be thankful for. Gutted that he can't play football, but he strikes me as the sort of person who will be able come to terms with that and do something wonderful.

    Happy that he is still with us, and i think the retirement was sensible
