For those of you who may have read the article today by Ms Meire; should we be concerned? My interpretation being that it is not our intention to buy any more permanent players (or loans) prior to the January window. Given that we have no forwards (Igor apart), worthy of the name, what happens if we suffer a long term injury? I hope my understanding of this article is incorrect.
After watching Church terrorise the Andorrans last night, I don't think we have anything to worry about...
I would not be concerned, what is said to the press and what really happens are two different matters
We picked up Kermit in late September a few years back, with Football Manager 15 due out soon I guess there will be a whole raft of free agents for our ESN (European Scouting Network) to look at
One quote from the BBC article was interesting: That's very ambiguous as to how much of an input Bob gets. Surely it should be up to the manager and his staff to scout the players he wants, and the job of the owner and chief executive to finance the deals? Obviously they have more of an eye on the budget than the manager, so won't automatically say yes to a manager's request if it wouldn't be within budget, but I'm slightly uneasy about how they seem to be the main drivers in finding players. Sorry if I've been a bit slow on the uptake on this.
What it does confirm Captain is (as we all knew) Chris had absolutely no say in any of the arrivals last January.
'Charlton boss Meire part of select female football club' http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-29130982 Sorry, I thought that was the article to which chaperonek9 was referring. Where's that one then?
I honestly wasn't expecting any loans. That would mean having to buy someone from one of our domestic leagues.
