Are my eyes deceiveing me or is Demba Ba looking a top player .... The same player we had down at our HQ for 9 hours and still managed to tell him is knee is a crock of ! Seems a curious one especially as WHU have signed him for 500k plus add ons . He looks a top player i just hope this does not come back to lets just say haunt us !! I dont belive for a minute that TP is not cringeing when he is watching this guy bang them in or set em up.. All will unveiled no doubt ???? It wasn't a risk we had to take, if I was Coates I would have taken it though. Ba is a top player who had played over half the season in the Bundesliga.
I just know he's gonna score against us at some point Maybe that will make Tone think. He looks a powerful player, and would fit into our 'style of play', its shame we couldn't get him, it really is.
I posted on a previous thread as was well p****d off that we did not take him. However someone rightly pointed out that at the time of the medical we were looking at investing big money. Big difference between taking a punt on ã500k rather than ã6m. However will be well cross if he continues to stay fit and bangs in loads of goals as we have never been told what the problem really was an how serious it was. Personally I would have liked the club to explain fully but I suppose they are not allowed to due to confidentiality. Will just have to put with the pain if he scores and knocks us out the cup.
Northern it was said last night during their game that if it wasn't for his dodgy knee he would be worth 15 million so it must be quite dodgy for him to be worth 9 mill less!
Weren't we quoted about ã15m-ã20m when we first enquired for him? About 18 months back I think that was.
