    Nothing says "strongly connected" like spending some ****ing money, Gao.

    I can see nothing that isn't positive about this.....an owner meets an MP to discuss the importance of the club to the town. I can't berate him about not putting in extra money as I have no knowledge of Mr Gao's money situation....or indeed of our financial position (we'll have to wait for the financial report for that).

    Or she's a rational human being who doesn't think that everything in the world revolves round one result. This meeting will have been arranged some time ago...and it would have been odd not to put out some statement.

    She looks bored. It could be the pre-meet briefing went something like:

    Sec: So there's a foreign chappy next up. Says he wants to put some money in, so be nice.

    MP: I'm always nice. Will there be enough to re-build the City Centre? God it's crap.

    Then some bugger comes in and talks about the need to connect with people and she feels she's trapped in a 1960's Maharishi session.

    I'd have just one question for him;

    'Can you afford relegation?'

    Don't think I want an actual answer though.

    I see from the map on her website that her constituency abuts mine in Winchester. Our MP , Steve Brine, has rocked up at a Winchester football match but did not stay the duration. He is a Spurs supporter though - which is not good. The most amazing thing he has done is turning up at a food bank in Winchester to congratulate the staff working there and without any sense of irony. Good to see that the support for Labour in Winchester is now very much in the ascendency and hopefully motivated by the great work put in like organisations such as Momentum who are inspiring a new generation of voters.

    Mr Gao and Nelly Gao were also both at a private Conservative Party fundraiser recently. Wonder what their intentions really are...

    I expect the government were asking him, to ask Katharine how we got out of Europe so easily.
