It now seems clear that Cellino will be taking over, given the amount of money he's ploughed in in the past 2 weeks, and I've got to say it looks like we'd have been shafted if he hadn't been there. By all accounts a bit of a megalomaniac though, and rich enough not to have to worry about being hit in the pocket if some fans become disenchanted and vote with their feet. So ahead of his official tenure beginning, what messages do we fans want to send him? What potential courses of action do we see as positive and relationship enhancing, and what would we consider an atrocity? He might not read these forums, but he'll make sure someone does as he'll want a finger on the pulse...
You can't do any worse than the previous regimes so ignore all the vested interests and just make as much money as you can over the next twenty years. The logic behind the above is that to make money we have to be at the top table, and that should be what we all want, apart from Eire who wants us in the Skrill.
Forget the nonsense you'll hear about FFP rules and developing our young stars over extended periods and we don't need to spend bib. Some of us are getting too old too wait. Plough tens of millions into the project, get us promoted, make us a man city, I don't varela anymore
If he buys back Elland Road and puts enough money in to get us promoted then none of us should complain. It would be a dream after the last dozen or so years. I don't see how he could take us any further forward than that to be honest with you. To compete with Chelsea, Man U, Man C, Arsenal and Liverpool would require someone far richer. At the moment competing with the likes of Spurs, Everton and Newcastle for 9th spot seem a distant dream still. One step at a time though first
It seems Cellino is at the home game between Cagliari and Udinese on BT sport now. 1-0 to Cagliari. He might be picking out some of our new players for next season !!
