He's quit, apparently. I doubt he'll be missed. What next for him and who should take over at Sunderland?
They need someone who has managed the Championship with a view to letting him go if they come up. Letting him go because I don't think they will attract anyone who's good enough to keep them in the PL yet will take charge of them as things stand. A specialist manager because I think the Championship is a tough league to get out of.
Part of getting promoted straight back is keeping hold of the manager like Newcastle did with Rafa and Burnley with Dyche. Sunderland face a very tough job now, thanks to Moyes. Football geniuses on the BBC comments section are citing Joey Barton for their next manager.
I hope he was sacked for that sycophantic act of pure ****ery, letting John Terry have his 'parade', rather than for getting Sunderland relegated.
Yeah, he put all of his savings on John Terry to be subbed off in the between the 26th and 30th minute.
Points to no transfer funds available imo. Can't see many wanting to take the job on with their clown of an owner.
Joey Barton as a manager has to be the funniest idea ever. Odds are he will get in a fist fight with a 4th official in his first season.
Mackems are a mess off the pitch. Broken by debt and an owner who wants out. Pickford aside they have no saleable assets so need big investment ASAP. The average manager stays for 10-11 months so they keep lurching from one disaster to the next. Hiring and firing.
Dude, we were never coming straight back up anyway. Our problems run a lot deeper then the pitch and dug out. We're riddled with debt with the creditors calling it in in 2019. We can't afford a year one promotion. We'll be nowhere near regardless of who is in charge.
We need to balance the books and honour our payments. Then we can build a team. It will be a while before Short sells. If all goes well he might sell us by 2020.
