That's what i heard since the game yesterday, so what, Moyes was not a United manager in terms of a big name or quality, whereas Van Gaal is, he's world-class manager who know's what he's doing.

It's inevitable comparisons will be made.

And you can't keep saying LVG knows what he's doing as nothing so far proves this. Reputation alone doesn't win you titles or games.

I thought that Moyes was unfairly picked on because he wasn't a big name or a foreign name.
Isn't that what you kept harping on about, back when you were Moyes_2013 and a Moyes' fan boy.

I vividly remember you saying people were ass clowns because they were picking on him because he wasn't called Moyesinho or Moyeratti. And that a big name shouldn't matter because they wouldn't do things the "United Way".

    Matth in "U-Turn" shocker.

Van Gaal has had £150m to spend though, and you're still mince.

Moyes had a better points return against way more difficult opposition with about a 20th of the investment in players van Gaal has been allowed.

That, sonny, is simply a hard fact. What issue is it exactly that you have with this factual piece of information?

Moyes hadnt just taken over a after moyes.

Hes got no excuses and i doubt hes made any but hes already shown far more than moyes ever did. Who cares if moyes was better off at the same point? Does it matter?

I bet liverpool, city spurs and everton are also worse off. One also spent a fortune.

    I don't care.

I'm not the one who protested about a simple fact being placed in the papers.

Not if the previous manager has been such an abject failure that the playing/coaching squad has to be completely rebuilt - that takes time and needs a man of undoubted experience and tactical nous, ie LVG. We can afford to be patient with him because there is evidence (based on his recent results with major European and International teams) of where he will take us, as opposed to Moyes who was on a mystery tour all of his own.

Over a season. If everything was based on the first 5 games i dont think anyone would be interested in football.

Problem is, Van Gaals system tactics and formation will never work in the PL. And the problem is he's dutch and a stubborn ****, so he won't change it for nothing.

You should still get 4th due to the quality you have, but you won't be winning anything anytime soon

Yes because the dutch style has never worked. For example fergies studying of van gaals ajax side, his insistence on youth and attacking high impact football never worked in the premier league. Ever.

Nor have tye many dutch flops brought straight from holland. Often ajax who to this day continue van gaals work. So many terrible players.

Van gaals tactics of a ball playing defence, width from fullbacks, and a possession based attack game when in possession alomg with his counter attack as direct as possible game plans are the anti premier league...

    Or not <ok>

I dread to think how moyes would be doing this season. At best we would be level. No goals though. No shots either. No chance at all.

With £150 million to spend, probably better than your current position.

Bar saints, weve probably played two of the best sides in the league to this point.

Swansea and leicester. Definately two of the best amd toughest games any side have played so far.
