How can he have a go? He manages Manchester United, for ****s sake!

Making excuses already for when Citeh and Chelski finish above them.

Looking at their first few fixtures, 0 points after 3 games, and only 3 points out of 5 games is very possible. Seems to me like he is just getting his excuses out there if they struggle and only have 4 or 5 points in their first couple of games.

What's the point in moaning about the fixtures. Over the 38 games you still have to play these teams. He won't be complaining if United are unbeaten during these games.

Ok I will try this one more time. I didn't mean to use the word couple, I meant to say first 5. I hope my butchering of the English language won't be a problem <whistle>

He has got a point when you look at the other teams playing newly promoted teams etc, but they'll probably whinge at Christmas or Easter. It's a no win, every games difficult, just on paper some more than others.

There's no logic in what he is saying. You have to play those teams at some point - it doesn't really matter when.

I think it's because they're all close together:

"Moyes officially took over from Sir Alex Ferguson, who retired after 26 trophy-laden years in charge, on 1 July. The former Everton boss saw his new side win the Charity Shield with a 2-0 victory against Wigan last week. They start their Premier League campaign away at Swansea, before facing Chelsea, Liverpool, Crystal Palace and Manchester City.
Manchester City, who finished second last season, play two promoted clubs, Hull and Cardiff.
Chelsea, meanwhile, will face two teams who finished in the bottom half last season as well as Hull, Everton and Man Utd.

Four of Arsenal's opening five opponents finished in the bottom half last season, although they do have the derby against Tottenham. Spurs also face two promoted teams as well as Swansea and Norwich."

Some of the other fixtures for the others look easy, but as I say "on paper."

But now is the worst time to play promoted teams when they're still on a high and full of enthusiasm. You'd rather play the likes of us and Palace in November when we've taken a few inevitable beatings, lost confidence and our small squads are hit by injuries and suspension whilst we havent been permitted to add to them.

Like I said, he'll face those teams another day. Man Utd probably have, on paper, a piss easy set of fixtures at some point whereas Man City and Chelsea don't.

If I were a Man U "fan" I'd be more concerned about Moyes' comments than the fixtures themselves. If my team had just won the Premier League at a canter the previous season, I'd expect him to challenge all comers rather than whinge because of his first few games!
His comments say to me, he's more worried about the Chelsea's, the Man Citeh's and the Arsenals and Spurs than they are of Manchester United!

    FFS!
We've got to play everyone TWICE! HOME and AWAY!!!
    Pfft!

He needs to get a grip and quick. Everyone plays everyone home and away at some point.

Get the hard fixtures out of the way early is not a bad thing. Is Moyes out of his depth already though ??
