He lost back-to-back home games to teams that hadn't won at Old Trafford in my lifetime. Let's have a look at the contenders. Pellegrini = Wins all home games including emphatic victory over 1st place team and 2-1 win over Liverpool. Draw to Southampton after being in front the only blemish. Mourinho = Wins all home games incl win against in form Southampton and Liverpool. Impressive performance at the Emirates despite draw. Only blemish being loss to Stoke Martinez = Win at Old Trafford days after playing Arsenal off the park at the Emirates and getting a draw. Losing at home to bottom of the league lowers his stick slightly though. Then there's Moyes... Scraped wins against Hull and Norwich with a huge degree of fortune in both games. It could be argued United played poorly in every game bar the home game against West Ham. It's a farce of a nomination.

I think, given time (and money) he'll come good! He knows the Prem better than most but he's a bit short on the player front! They need to find a new creative midfielder and a good captain-defender!
