I cant wait to have this lad back... https://www.si.com/soccer/sunderlan...ed-hugely-impress-powerhouse-defender-ballard
"back in training next week" - seems to be the constant message from the club. I suppose it's better in the long term that they are being cautious with the likes of Stewart, Ballard, Simms etc but it's hugely frustrating that he's been out nearly 4 months now
I cant believe he's only played 3 games since arrival. If you add in the time Stewart, Simms, Huggins, Cirkin, Gooch and Alese have missed aswell and it makes you realise how cursed we've been and the fact we are where we are in the league despite all of them injuries to key players is pretty remarkable really. It just goes to show that we are more than capable of a top 8 finish this year if we can gain abit more luck with injuries going into the second half of the season. Keeping this squad togeather after Jan and sealing Stewart's long term future is a MUST!
Did they? Never saw that. Annoying either way, especially with Mowbrays comments that he "could be back over the Festive period" when we were expecting him back on Sat
I got it wrong. There was definitely an injury this season where we were told ‘8-12 weeks’. I presumed it was Ballard, not the case. please log in to view this image
Even if given a timeline, injuries aren’t as predictable as we would all like. People heal differently. People feel pain differently. People can suffer minor set backs that end up being major set backs
