One way to get the property you want, where you want, in San Francisco! . The only other way is to be a millionaire, so far have property prices exploded there, mainly due it seems to it's proximity to Silicon Valley. . But they might be exploding in inverse proportion to the attractiveness of the city itself. After years of incentivised homelessness, the streets are now full of people who live in the doorways of even the highest end boutique shops. Residents descending from their heavenly, and highly mortgaged eyries are routinely confronted by encampments which they are told must stay as nothing can be done about them. Former Mayor Gavin Newsom, responsible for much of this hideous carnage, has now moved on to become Governor of California and will no doubt impose more of his far left extremism there. No wonder about 250,000 people are leaving the State a year. They won't be the poorest, and their numbers are not going to be falling. Businesses are faced with really mental conditions starting this year and getting more onerous next. Not sure why I've said all that. It's all true enough, but hardly relevant to the story, which is bloody amazing. Maybe it's because I visited San Francisco in the late eighties and found it just about the nicest place I've ever been to. I keep in occasional touch with someone who lives there, and who tells me all this stuff. A shame what has happened there, though I think she is leaving too this year , Kungflu permitting.
