French side Sochaux have revealed they have signed Wolves defender Steven Mouyokolo on a season-long loan deal. Update: Steven Mouyokolo's move to Sochaux and the French club have the option to sign the Wolves defender on a permanent basis. Mouyokolo signed a four-year deal with Wolves last summer, but he made just seven appearances last season.
Surely he'd have had to do something for that accolade. He only scored once against Chelsea, hardly spectacular is it? I'm not saying he'd be a bad signing at this level but i just don't get all the adulation he gets. He's hardly done anything.
nice lad helped us get a signed hull city afc shirt for a charity raffle at work would like to see him back someday
I'd have had him back, he was a great lad, football needs more like him and less like Bullard/King/any other overpaid moron
I'm not, actually. I just think he's a great guy and a decent player. He'll always be one of my favourite City players, and I'm not even sure why. Maybe I've fallen for him...
Yeah because I'm sure Mouyokolo wasn't on much money at all... I liked him, didn't think he was anything special, didn't think he was terrible.
Second half of the season, after Hunt got injured, year before last he was our best player I thought, a real shame when he went to Wolves, can't believe he wasn't 1st choice for them, would take him back in a second
Agree with this. I thought he, Hunt and Boateng were our best players last season and that's more of a reflection on the rest than on those three.
I thought he had some decent games and some not so decent ones, I'd rather see Ayala and Chester at the back, ahead of him.
I thought he was our best defender from Jan onwards when he was getting more first team action. He was quality against Chelsea.
I'm sure someone with more know-how (OLM) will come and tell me exact figures, but I'm sure he was only on around £8,000 p/w. Imo mouyokolo was a decent defender when played in centre half. He was bloody dodgy at first but after the chelsea game he settled down and was one of our better performers. I'd have him back.
I think he became a cult hero because he had a chant that wasn't "there's only one" or "super", and had the East stand doing a conga after we were relegated singing Stephen Mouyokolo. I'd have him at centre back ahead of anyone at the club now/ rumoured!
