Anyone else have the misfortune of walking back to White City station with them? The police never went beyond the Springbok. It didn't, but it could easily have turned nasty.
They had proper Northern accents and were singing some horrible song about kicking a blue. Hopefully about Man C and not us!
I walked all the way back up Sth Africa Road to White City Station with my dad, no hostile atmosphere, no chanting, no sign of any agro, just supporters leaving a stadium and going home. But maybe I am just immune to spotting potential agro?
Noticed nothing, especially compared to the seventies where even the ground floor flats in the White City estate boarded up their windows when Utd came.
True. Man City fans had a bit more class, even before that match. Don't know why Man U fans were so boosted about beating us, it was like they had won the champions league.
The ones i saw were either yanks or foreign complete with half scarves. Think i only heard one manc accent.
Must have been post 5pm I was there as (for some unknown reason) I waited behind to clap our players off the pitch.
