He may favour us but Harry and his bucketfull of cash may have a say........

Just like the Loic Remy transfer earlier on in the January 2013 window, Newcastle and QPR are battling over one of the hottest prospects in Ligue 1, according to L’Equipe this morning.

Toulouse midfielder Moussa Sissoko looks set to leave Toulouse in the coming days with a host of clubs interested besides QPR and Newcastle, including Marseille and Monaco.

L’Equipe report that Sissoko is keen on a move to Newcastle where he can link up with a host of French players already in Alan Pardew’s squad.

Newcastle have begun negotiations with Toulouse over the transfer of Sissoko but the deal could be hijacked by QPR who will meet his representatives in London today.

QPR look set to be in the market for a defensive midfielder with suggestions this morning that Harry Redknapp’s side have lost out on Yann M’Vila to Rubin Kazan with the Russians paying 11.5 million euros.

Moussa Sissoko, 23, has established himself as one of the finest defensive midfielders in France’s Ligue 1 over the past five seasons.

    http://sportwitness.ning.com/forum/...eart-set-on-newcastle-but-agents-will-meet-qp

Newcastle United fans may be getting slightly irritated with Queens Park Rangers at the moment. They lost out to them on Loic Remy after the striker decided he wanted to play for Harry Redknapp, despite having turned the manager down twice previously. It had nothing to do with sack-loads of money and Remy helpfully explained that QPR owner Tony Fernandes playing Playstation with him was more important than cash. That's nice.

Now as Newcastle United try to tie up other good buys from the French league, QPR are rearing their heads again. Not only does this present the danger of the player signing for the London club, it also threatens to push the cost up, making what were originally bargain buys anything but.

If it carries on then Match of the Day may have to take a closer look at Alan Shearer's contract before Tony Fernandes whisks him down to Loftus Road having learned of his deep Newcastle connections. Perhaps Alan Pardew should leak stories about a move for Lionel Messi and raise QPR, just for a giggle.

This time the target is Moussa Sissoko. France's main sport newspaper, L'Equipe, today say in their newspaper edition that the Toulouse midfielder has set his heart on Newcastle United despite interest from Marseille and Ligue 2 side Monaco. The latter are repeatedly linked with players but they're not even top of Ligue 2 and promotion certainly isn't nailed on yet so a move there would prove a risk, the French second division probably isn't home to a great standard of football.

However, L'Equipe also say that his agents are due to meet QPR today after contact from Harry Redknapp's team, and the blue and white hoops may just make him an offer they can't afford but that he can't refuse. Or get Tony Fernandes to drag out a games console, therefore making money irrelevant.

Pardew should seal the deal by serenading him with a bit of Phyllis Nelson

    Move closer
    Move your body real close
    Until we-ee-ee-ee
Feel like we're really makin' love

    Ooh-ooh, move closer
    Move your body real close
Until we feel like we're really makin' love

Typical transfer strategies are not working afterall due to Mikes short arms and deep pockets.

Candle face will gamble on high wages for Sissoko = Premiership survival = More sky money
Always thought Ashley and Llambarse enjoyed a flutter obviously not.
Maybe we should start charging clubs for Carrs time and efforts in finding them players.

because of losing out on M’Vila it looks like QPR will try and nick another player from you, I would like him to go to Rangers but not at your expense again.
Newcastle are going to have to think about their wage structure if they want to sign players ahead of other teams nowadays.

not as much thinking about wage structure that QPR will have to be doing in the very real possibility of relegation if arry keeps waving the brown envelopes

QPR have money behind them though, they would only be in deep trouble if the chairman walked out

Not even then, Mittal would step in so we need 2 groups to step away to be in trouble.

Why can't we send Ashley to go and play Playstation with Sissoko, Mbiwa and co. to get them over the line asap?
