Jose has confirmed what we suspected for a long time. Now Moyes is a goner, he has clarified what Chelsea fans had speculated really happened. And it is good for United fans to get some closure on this issue and know that they were never even close to getting the greatest. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ame-calling-knew-I-wanted-return-Chelsea.html
I'm not joining the queue to bash Moyes while he's down. The team yes, the man ,no. Ferguson is complicit in the Teams current position, and while Moyes has not exactly set any fires ablaze, it must be **** awful trying to get your head around that job with Fergie, Bobby Charlton et al all hanging around in the background. If Moyes has the character to tough it out, to get in the players and mould the team he wants, he might yet surprise some. The question is, will he ever get the chance ?? If he's allowed to concentrate on the football without the behind the scenes dramas that must be going on, who knows? Personally I'd like to see Utd come back strong, so when we wallop them it feels like a proper win.
I have to agree with CP here. Can't judge Moyes just by this show. For feck sakes he didn't inherit 2011/12 Barca or 2012/2013 Bayern. And yes Alex didn't make it easier for Moyes with all other crazy drama. No way! Why would you want that? Let them be there where they belong and some.
I haven't seen any signs that he is good enough to manage Unotwd. Tactics of getting the ball wide and slinging in crosses are so outdated. Motivation, man management, team building, tactics, substitutions, transfers, he has failed on all these counts so fAr. With no sign if any improvement, having spent £200m on transfers and new contracts. Jose only needed four months to get the team heading in the right direction and people were still getting on his back even when we were top 4. Why should Moyes be given more time? When it is wrong in the field....
United fans incredibly deluded to think he was the Chosen One, if they could have got Pep etc instead
Jose has Chelsea through him like a stick of rock! Why on earth would he want to go anywhere else, when he's got the Kings Rd nearby to go shopping with the Mrs and kids, and the Blues fan club to support him?
The headline isn't accurate at all, if you actually read the article you will see that. SAF never asked Mourinho to be Man Utd manager, Mourinho just told SAF he was hoping to return to Chelsea. So there was no approach from SAF or Man Utd for Mourinho. As per usual the press are just exaggerating to get an exciting headline
It really bothers you that Jose was never considered doesn`t it. Have you read the artical you linked to (not the head line) Jose say`s (once again) he was never offered the job at Old Trafford and had told Fergie long before that he wanted to go back to Chelsea and so was probably never in the frame for the United job anyway. Just console yourself with the fact that he was never asked because he had already accepted another job and move on from this, it`s really not that important.
Yeah right, tonight he went down the frog n toad to the rub a dub for a pint of laugh n titter, yesterday he put a monkey on a nag to win a pony. English, sheesh!
Let's be fair Mourinho only went back to Chelsea because United and City didn't want him. Mourinho is a great coach, but he has no class, you just have to look at the way he behaved in Madrid to confirm that. The whole of Madrid where happy to see the back of him, and he was told quit or be sacked by the powers that be. You really think Mourinho in an ideal world would have gone back to Chelsea, to work for the guy who had previously sacked him. Mourinho wanted the United job, and that was plain to see with his arse licking of us and SAF in the CL quarter final press conferences last season. He didn't get the job plain and simply because he is a clown, and the Man Utd board would never appoint a t**t like that. Man City where the same, they didn't want Mourinho either because of the baggage he brings. Chelsea where literally the only club who wanted him, so he had no choice, but make no mistake Chelsea where never his first choice
Not saying anything. All I'm saying is Mourinho was never considered, something that obviously doesn't sit well with Chelsea fans, hence this article
Think you are missing the point KO, United had many choices, chelsea had many choices, Jose had one choice because nobody else wanted him
Absolutely correct. There wasn't a team in Europe who wanted a manager who will guarantee trophies, yet the clown that is Benitez, the man with the ****e-as Touch, is able to walk into any club he desires. Do me a flavour...
