The media did stop creaming themselves over him - in Spain and Italy, anyway...

Stop stirring up hate on our board. We already know Mourinho is a ****, but his record speaks for itself. Unlike Moyes. 😎

There were a few barbed comments on both sides before the game - which had echoes of SAF v Benitez (not that that was a contest) - but, on balance, AVB hasn't reached primadonna status yet, even if he is a bit precocious.

His handling of Adebayor could be a good indicator of just how good he is as a manager. He gives Spurs a different option up front - getting him fit and focused would be a major achievement.

Why is Matth obsessed with Mourinho? Is he upset that they ended up with Moyes the Bartender instead of Mourinho?

I wouldn't call AVB childish, just a little exuberant from time to time like that jump and punch when winning at Trafford last season. Neil Kinnock was ejected from his seat when Cardiff beat Fulham for celebrating too much, hell it's what football does to people and there's no harm done. Mourinho storms out of a press conference and he criticizes somebody else, handbags that's all. The human being IS very contrary, I caught District out for being contradictory. Andre can look after himself so I'm not at all indignant that he was called childish, why should we be, it's nothing to do with us.

    I've never liked Mourinho.

Cocky, arrogant, rude, poor sportsman... Prick.

Also think he's a lucky manager more so than a "special one".

I thought Mourinho was in the league that included John Lennon & Muhamad Ali. The clever ones who took the piss out the media and their pathetic questions. I hoped he was because we need more people in prominent postions who take the piss, we badly need that. Spin, PC, Bullshit have reached new heights in recent years and everyone takes it all so seriously.

Sadly the 'Lucky One' is starting to believe his own publicity and will reveal himself as just another 'Greedy One'.

Out of his 10 full seasons in management since managing Porto, he's won 7 out of 10 league titles... That makes him lucky?

I see finally AVB has spoken up about Torres. That's four days too late for me. Mourinho stole the initial headlines when in fact Torres should have been sent off for the 'scratch 'n gouge' and we almost certainly would have won the game. It was us who were robbed of points not Chelsea, but not according to Jose. and lots of papers followed his lead and printed Jose's take that Vertonghen was the bad guy, when if fact if Jan had collapsed like so many players would have done, maybe he would have got Torres sent off.

Last year AVB got outmanouevered by Rodgers in the 'divers' battle of Suarez and Bale

Rogers defended his guy, AVB kept schtum, guess who got the penalty - Suarez, the winner too!

Like Harry before him AVB seems out of his depth when it comes to challenging refs' decisions.

Fair enough this season we've got some calls for us, so maybe AVB's tactics are working, maybe. Didn't help last season when we got no penalties.

Look at the teams he's managed.

Put him in charge of Crystal Palace and then lets see if he wins a title.
