Mourhino sack watch

Discussion in 'Tottenham Hotspur' started by Hoddle is a god, Dec 18, 2013.

  1. Thought I'd start this thread, now. I would have started it sooner, believing (as I do) that Chavs have made a dreadful mistake bringing back the manager that Mad Dog sacked first time round. But, I thought I'd be as fair as I could be and let him have time to prove me wrong. However, all that's happened in that time is that The Not-Quite-So Special One has been gathering-in all the rope he needs to hang himself. Their loss last night to relegation-threatened Sunderland made my mind up for me, really.

So, lads, let's use this thread to keep an eye on the situation and to chart the moment when The Smug One gets the boot for the second time.

By the way, are there any other managers who have been sacked twice by the same club, or will Maureen be the first?

I was laughing at the fact HIAG missed it, given his banter with you guys.

Wouldn't say no to a couple of finals. <ok>

Pleat was sacked twice for us, wasn't he?

I'm surprised Chelsea haven't been better with Mourinho in charge, he inherited a team of real quality but can't get any of the consistency and resiliance out of them that they had in the past with him.

They didn't seem to have these issues with Rafa...

He knew Sideshow bob was not a cm, and managed to get Ba and Torres scoring enough.

I don't see why Mourinho should be struggling.

We struggled plenty with Rafa as well. Some of our league performances were woeful. To early really. We're still above City and United (who have won 5 of the last 6 titles between them) and could go top this weekend; so we can't be doing that bad.

Given how two of Mourinho's former assistants have been sacked in the past week, surely logic would dictate Brendan Rodgers would be next?

Nope, just remembering the old adage about these things happening in threes. That and Kevin Keegan resigning after a 7-1 win.

I think that there are plenty of managers who've been sacked or left the same club repeatedly. Attempts to recapture past glories often go badly wrong, I'm afraid.
I think that Anzhi's manager for their loss at the Lane was in his fifth stint with the team, IIRC.

At this moment in time, it is, and do you honestly think you're going to finish above us this season?
