This time last year, Rafa had taken us from 3 points behind United to 22 in three months: ceding leads to West Ham, Saints, Newcastle, Reading. Losing to QPR, a league cup semi at home to Swansea, bottling a very winnable World Club championship, getting a very luck draw at Griffin Park, a lucky draw v Sparta Prague at home and losing to Steaua Bucharest. Now we are 18 points clear of United. What a difference a year makes. Thanks Jose
To be fair, Rafa did have us going quite well by seasons end, and Moyes was shafted by Red Nose who left a shambles behind him. That said, Jose puts Rafa in the shade, and with Rafa being the size of a walrus, that's a lot of shade !!
Sorry to burst your bubble but many teams have had a massive points swing against United this season, it has nothing to do with Jose.
Given the money Jose has spent (plus the unquestioning support of the fans) he needs a top four finish and a trophy to even equal Rafa. He has a long way to go before you could say Rafa has been put in his shade.
I only say things how i see them, there will be many times we will agree but there will also be times i may say something you think is ****e, this is one of those EDIT wind up`s don`t count by the way, we are all guilty of them
Yep. Rafa could not get the best out of Terry, Cahill, Azpi, Hazard, etc. He simply built a team of two banks of four around Mata and Torres
We don't have a large squad, in fact we have less players registered than most teams. It's not even close to the most experienced squad in terms of the Prem. Commentators say it, papers print it but it's totally wrong.
