    Wouldn't surprise me if, in future, the PL try to pull some **** like that to milk more TV money.
    Like make the top 3 qualify automatically, but for the last spot, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th duke it out in a play-off, similar to how the football league do promotion.

    What they could do is have a gangbang of a playoff.

    1st plays 20th
    2nd plays 19th
    3rd plays 18th etc

    The ten winners then go into a league where everyone plays each other 4 times home and away.

    The top 8 from that league then go into play offs.

    1st plays 8th
    2nd plays 7th
    3rd plays 6th etc

    The four winners then go into a mini league where they play each other 8 times home and away.

    The teams that finish 3rd and 4th play each other 12 times home and away to decide who gets the 3rd CL spot, the loser gets the 4th CL spot and is ridiculed for celebrating a top 4 finish.

    The top two then flip a coin to see who’s won the league and has got the first CL spot. The 2nd placed team gets a CL spot and has to change their avatar for a month.
