I never thought I'd say it, but for once Alex Ferguson did something that I had no choice but to admire him for. Yes, really!! Please read on .... Last night I caught a bit of Radio 5 Live's World Cup Report, and at that moment Ferguson was on, talking about Di Stefano's sad passing. Ferguson had just finished his opening sentences and was waiting for the next question from the presenter, when this happens: "Sir Alex, John Motson here. When you look at the last World Cup and this one, why do you think there has been such a difference in the Group stages?" ... or something like that. "I'm here to talk about Di Stefano, nothing else. So let's talk about Di Stefano." BANG!! Just like that Motty got put in his place, and quite right too. WTF was he thinking? Damned disrespectful trying to hijack a tribute to a great man with some WC rubbish. Ferguson then went on to speak at length about Di Stefano, how he influenced him at Aberdeen, and how great this man was. It was a heartfelt tribute from Ferguson, and clearly something he wanted to share. Yes, I know, he doesn't have a heart, does he? I see that the Ferguson interview has been removed from the podcast of the show, and instead a voice over with Motson has been stuck in where he says a few things about Di Stefano and references Ferguson as having been influenced by him. What a tool Motson is!!
Fair point. Actually Ive no problem with Fergie anymore now he's no longer scum manager. Think son played a piece of that interview this morning. Was definitely a genuine tribute Billy
