Another point of view is that he was the weak link getting targeted by that ball over the top( how did Balotelli not score one of them?) That tactic forced us deeper, and led to the midfield being lost. Agree he gave everything and put good blocks in, but hopefully that was his last game.

Pure anti-Chelsea bias. If he were a Rangers player you'd be shouting his name from the roof-tops.

Ridiculous.

Rooney looked knackered last night and way before it went to extra time too.

I'm not sure why Carroll was put on but we still played the ball on the ground, maybe we would have been better off with Defoe.

Every pundit interview said it would either be a low scoring or no scoring game and could end up with penalties. For a change the pundits were right. If you watch Ashley Young he doesn't take his eye off the ball from the moment the whistle blew for his penalty right up to when he smacked it against the cross bar. If he'd taken time to look up he might have kept the ball down 6" and been a hero. The high level down the middle penalty was obviously one he'd been working on in training and it beat Buffon but not the woodwork.

On the original OP I have to agree with a non-committal shrug that, yes, Terry had a very good game and has had a decent tournament too. I still hope he gets the book chucked at him when ever the FA get round to doing what should have been dealt with last year. LAST YEAR for F%$& sake!!

Good morning Superhoops, When I was in the RAF doing my NS for england I played football for the station team and one day, when playing I shouted at my senior officer that he was a c--t! I then said SORRY and he said what happens on the pitch STAYS on the pitch. He keeped to his word, and thats being a real man, no matter what you are called , it is only in the heat of the moment, YES?

Ah to hell with it. Swords, I'm blaming you for Vietnam. And Korea. And Iraq. Both times.

But not Afghanistan. The blame for that one lies firmly at Oddball's door

John Terry was admirable in his consoling of Cole and Young yesterday.......
He's good at dealing with his team mates' misses! <whistle>

It's clear you really dislike the Ferdinand family, our own player included. Does this extend to their cousin Les?

That pair of Clowns aren't fit to bear the same name as that gentleman and giant of the game. Hes an example to all footballers as to how to conduct themselves.

Standards have slipped at an alarming rate in recent years. Do yourself a favour and don't even compare our current brat with the legend of Sir Les. Its not even funny mate.

Yes. Modern football is sh*t. Blah blah. Why do you bother watching/coming to games?

Because its better than nowte. Although the Euro's have been better than I expected. I had just about lost all hope with the International game.

Look England, you're clearly a clever lad so just understand that I disagree with your point of view. Nothing personal.
