I have just read an article on Newsnow.co.uk from the Journal where Colo says that he thinks that 2 more wins should see us safe, and it got me thinking that many of our players were in the squad that got relegated.

Having been through such a ****ty experience, I would imagine that the lads will be far better prepared for the fight, and far more determined to make sure that it doesn't happen again.

Last time we had too many self-centred players who didn't care about the club. This time however, we have that much talked about team spirit and knowledge that no-one is too good to go down.

I honestly believe that the players benefited from being relegated and this could be a major factor in keeping us up.

The main objective for this year was always to stay in this league, and even though we ventured into the top 7, if we do stay up I will see this as being a succesful season. The 5-1 humiliation of the soap dodgers and laughing at Steve Bruce has been a bonus.

Just 2 more wins and it's "mission accomplished"

If you had offered me this scenario at the beginning of the season I would have grabbed it without hesitation.

So come lads, one final push and then we can enjoy the summer, cos I don't want to experience the feelings that I had in May 2009.

Two years ago it just seemed that no-one on the pitch really cared and were either busy sorting out new clubs or where they'd take their holidays.

The potential was there to survive but it was never realised by the majority of the players.

Dropping down a division has shown the players that life is ultimately better in the top tier for a professional footballer and another relegation is not an option.

We have a few players in the squad who really seem to play for the shirt. We have others who play for the team as a whole.

We didn't really have that two years ago.

Two wins and six points for one more season guaranteed at the top level.

I don't think that any of us want to experience the feelings of May 2009 again, and that includes the players.

If we beat Wolves, then in a bizarre twist of fate, we will be playing Away at Aston Villa in a game that could ensure are Premiership survival.

How good would it feel to guarantee our premiership status while at the same time sending them into the mire of relegation!!!!

Hopefully we will be winning and in the final few minutes Barton and Nolan will take the ball into the corner, ala Heskey, and waste the last few seconds.

Winning via a Villa own goal would be nice.

If we can help in anyway then I'll be content.

The 6-0 drubbing was a good start.
