I'm going to stick my neck out and say that I reckon we've got a good chance of being first game on Match of the day 2 for a change on Sunday night
No, I definitely mean 90's. Don't know if this link will work as posted from my phone http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=4ulJvO0U-74&desktop_uri=/watch?v=4ulJvO0U-74&gl=GB
Grobs is in net so that's very early 90's, that's my excuse anyway No offence intended and it may well be my memory but I don't recall Swansea being in the top division, was it a cup game?
Think he means this game Gerrez. I'd take a result like that on Sunday...
Yeah, said it was Grobs in goals so very early nineties. Also said I couldn't recall Swansea being in the same league back then so guessed it was a cup game Delightful lob by Nicol for the eighth
I seam to remember a 0-1 win at Anfield in another cup Quarter final game circu 1963-64, I was about 13 then. Our bus got battered by stones as we left and as a result my parents didn't let me go to any more away games for a few years, thanks for that but that was a long time ago and water under a bridge. Always had a soft spot for Liverpool especially after our signings of Toshack, Callaghan and Tommie Smith and our rise into the 1st Division. Will never forget Tommie meeting Ozvaldo Ardeilez in that League Cup game in August. How far did he go up in the air? Then the replay at White Hart lane, had to be Alan Curtis' best game ever, he was phenomenal, what a win. Somehow my feelings towards Liverpool seam to have changed over the last few months, can't understand why lol but losing to West Brom, well it just amused me especially after Suarez did one of his famous dives to the floor in the penalty box. What a disgrace he is and what a great save, justice done. If a moth landed on him he would fall over. So what will ML do this weekend? Rest Michu? I'm guessing he will and maybe a few other key players too. It would be nice to beat Liverpool, again, it really would but maybe we could let this one go, we have more important smaller fish to fry next week.
How that steward git got away with a blatant foul I don't know. Times were different them, straight red nowadays
That's the trouble with today's game, you sneeze on somebody and its a red card. The likes of Roy Keane and Paul Ince would struggle to make it in today's game as they would be far to tough for the players on show in this era of the game and the governing bodies ambition to eradicate tackling (which is an art) from the game.
