Any other sentimental, nostalgic fools watching? So far: - Sunderland absolute crap. As usual. - Swansea should have beaten Chelsea - Cheating Glenn Murray's first action for Palace an attempt to break someone's leg. McCarthy lets an easy one in. Jerome has an overhead kick goal called as dangerous by rookie ref. Norwich play some decent stuff but Palace are canny. - Cracking goal from Barkley for Everton. Good fight from Watford. - Bournemouth bit unlucky, Villa will struggle. - Spurs look better going forward than United.
Green was sh*te too by all accounts. I hope he gives Joanna a run against Yeovil. Green has always been a liability, interspersed granted with good saves.
Didn't see the highlights. Don't think Green is our biggest problem though. Spurs need another striker, there you go Charlie, Harry Kane's back up.
What is there to be nostalgic or sentimental about? The Premier League is over hyped. More fool anyone who buys into that hype......eh sb73!!!
MOTD just caught a few minutes of those pundits and feel ill Football feels like a real circus more than ever . Will have to catch more live matches this season ... Nothing comes close to that anyway
Yes mate, agreed. Will be trying to get to some lower league games this season if at all possible. Can't beat the lower leagues for proper fans and proper football.....no tourists or fair weathers.....proper football people. A proper day out at the footie.
Living in South London I often pop in to Dulwich Hamlet in the Ryman Premier League, I've been going there on and off for over 20 years now and in the past three years the club has really taken off in the area with a diverse bunch of local supporters giving it a tremendous atmosphere. I went on one of the 'Non-League Days' last year and nearly 3,000 filled the ground and many who visit come back as regulars, their average gate has risen from around 300 to over 1,000 in the past couple of years mainly due to local publicity. This is a local report of that day... http://www.brixtonbuzz.com/2014/09/...iting-2-2-draw-with-hampton-richmond-borough/ It's great to go to a match where you can have a drink in a relaxed atmosphere and the football is a decent standard for that level as well. This is becoming a more attractive package than League football which is now seemingly a cynical exercise in ripping off the customer at every turn...
I'm watching MOTD2 and they've just done an 'analysis' of how good Benteke is. He never got a bleeding kick!
