Last on there again, why am I not surprised that they do this most weeks. Like Lawro with his predictions MOTD appear to want us to be forgotten. The anti Swansea bias is a joke at the Beeb!
Be honest - it was the least attractive match yesterday - and after watching the match, I certainly didn't want to see it again on MOTD. Stoke v Hull was the only other match in contention for killing the viewing figures.
It matters because it's just another dig at us as a club, no matter what we do on the field of play they look at us and think yep they shouldn't be even in the league. The last time it happened was with Sunderland, who happens to be on a par with being last as us, they must have been pissing themselves to put the both of us last.
I dont see us as a dig at us at all, why should it.? Its only highlights and the best bits they show anyway so it dont matter whether they show our games best/worst bits first or last or anywhere in-between...Why anyone should have a hang up on that dont make sense....
This show is shown around the world, showing the big teams first all the time means that by the time you get to the last game a lot have switched off. They get their fix of Man Utd or Chelsea etc and they are gone. Now as a club trying to expand overseas it makes it that much more difficult to do this, a fairer system would be to show one of these larger teams at the end of the programme, that way it would give a fairer way for the smaller teams to show what we have to offer.
I tend to tape MOTD as were on late which is most of the time anyway. I like watching Sky's Match choice, a good 50mins of the game, so much better than MOTD in every sense.
Can't blame the for being last after a game that was won by an own goal, but it does happen too often.
But that is only the UK , what is shown abroad is motd more often than not, remember people have the bbc out of country to learn English, it's just a shame that they have the format that is just biased towards the larger teams, even 0-0 draws by these teams are shown first, so it's not about goals.
You cannot keep a good man down, and while many of these pundits had us going straight back down, they have had to eat humble pie over and over again, and now we go into our 5th season in the top flight, it just adds to their misery, I'm very happy that we are a constant thorn in the side, long may it continue, but at the end of the day the BBC are small potato when it comes to the game, but more importantly we are making our mark every season and that's all that matters to me, and Sky and some of the US networks (ESPN) give us good coverage..........
Pretty sure they used to do this (before they started releasing running order) to keep the viewing figures up till the end. The last game was always the "biggest"
Between this and the BBC spending £100M to build a new BBC Cardiff HQ (whilst pulling out if Swansea) there is no doubt that there is bias against Swansea.
