there was indeed, and for Chelsea goal he pulled of a great save, only for the defender who should have cleared the ball to have his picket picked by Eto.
What a bizarre penalty award for Stoke there. For a while I was convinced it was for Britton blocking it on the line with his chest.
Wes Brown was phenomenal in that game today. Hasn't played for 22 months. Shame, he's talented and could have had many more England caps.
Another shocker of a challenge by a Sunderland player there. Something needs to be done about these kinds of tackles. People talk about the game going soft but these high slide tackles are creeping in more and more and they're just horrible. Red cards aren't enough for these ****s. It's just a lack of skill and instead of trying to tackle properly they just throw their full weight behind a high, outstretched leg and hit some poor bastard halfway up their shin. Back in the day when it was a 'man's game' there were a lot of talentless juggernauts knocking people out but they didn't do these stupid front-on slide tackles all the time. What happened to hard but fair?
Jamie Redknapp hit the nail on the head (for once). If Lee Cattermole made that tackle he would, without a doubt, have been sent off. Awful tackle, wasn't even booked. I personally don't think Cattermole's red from last week should have been given. Dossena's = red. Cattermole's = yellow. Brady's = yellow. Larrsen's = red.
