Love the format but why not include the Stoke Bolton game in it and switch between the 3 rather than just the 2. Would have made the tension even more tangible. It's as if the relegation battle doesn't matter at all. And on another note Mackies goal gets better and better, great diving header!!
Because the average person watching Match of the Day is a Manchester United fan from Middlesex who doesn't give two ****s about anyone outside of the top four.
Probably dead right. Shame, the 3 games intertwined would have made great viewing to understand the impact on all of us.
Really, i thought they did a 'top job'. The day was about Man City (for most viewers) and if they had added the Stkoe game it would not have been so dramatic.
Was watching THE game with my eldest son yesterday. The tension was incredible & like a lot of fans, no doubt, thought the game was dead when City went 1 up & then the news that Bolton had taken the lead. When we equalized we were going crazy. When we went 2 - 1 up we went absolutely mental. Shouting, cheering & dancing about the living room. The neighbours must've wondered what was going on! Crazy day, crazy match but that's crazy QPR for you. Nothing's ever straight forward for a QPR fan EVER!!! You R'sssssssssssssss. Loved every second of the day. Even if we'd gone down atleast it wouldn't have been without a fight. Didn't see that coming from the boys!!!! Proud as ****!!!!!
I know it was all about City but feel they could have given us a little more credit for our battlling performance and the fact we pushed them right to the limit and nulified their multi million squad, I hate it when they say they had an off day you can only play as good as your opponents let you, but alas no it was just the comeback of the century.
Agree with that but i did not expect them to say much about us. MOTD is geared up four the top four (shame really). Most pundits are saying how well we played and i think we all know that when the crowd let the players know we were safe the concentration my have slipped.
