In honour of Bony's £28m move to City they did a run down of some of the other big name and big price January transfers of recent years, like Mata to United, Dzeko to City, showing the players, then a clip of a piece of skill from said player showing his quality, when it came to Torres it showed the main screen "FERNANDO TORRES £50M - Liverpool to Chelsea", then showed a clip of him rounding a keeper then slicing his shot and missing an open goal and falling to his knees.....LOL made me ****ing piss myself!

He scored in Spain on the weekend, maybe he just needs to be close to the Tapas and Paella to hit his top form.

He'll probably do ok at Athletico but has there ever been such a dramatic loss of form from a player? He was at one point World Class and one of the best strikers in the World.

We seem to pick em Luv, but Sheva springs to mind as well. He had a bad injury before coming to us which was probably a factor, but he went from World Class to bench warming in about 18 months. He was also a bit older than Torres as well.

But yeah, Torres in the first 2 years compared to the one in the latter stages of his time with you and then us and Milan. It's like Torres had a twin who stepped into his shoes and was gash :)

We got lucky without a doubt, I can't quite remember but I'm sure we invested that £50 million wisely. <whistle>

To be fair Henderson hasn't turned out too bad recently - I think that was the same time?

Yeah, he's a good player. Charlie Adam, Downing and Carroll not so good though. I'd have Carroll over Balotelli though.

And Lambert personally. Think he is a good player, some of his crosses for West Ham at the weekend were better than most wingers. And Downing is looking good as well. The best thing about Adam is that you got rid quick.

In that window over 100 million was spent on Torres, Carroll and Darren Bent!!! They are probably worth about 10 million combined now.

The price tag is never a player's fault. Torres was already looking jaded long before we bought him. If any mistake was made over his signing it was by Chelsea. There are three words which mean I'll never knock Torres for Chelsea. Gary Neville Orgasm.
