There was however a lot of 'he needs four chances to score' bollocks going on and was ridiculously overlooked by England.

You won't find a United fan underrating him, or Newcastle, but he was sneered at quite a bit.

Generally by people who thought Fowler was better, as he continued his stellar career of winning absolutely **** all.

He wasn’t truly loved at United, the man needs to feel loved. Plus he’s at his very best when playing on the counter, give him grass ahead and the right ball and no one stops him and he rarely misses the target. It was obvs Oleball was never having him for whatever reason. He still got 27 in 51 in his first season with you lot though.

    Jermain Defoe or Dion Dublin.
Defoe got 162 Premier League goals, more than Owen, van Persie or Hasselbaink.
Dublin got 111, despite playing as a defender for years.

Also Emile Heskey, cos it's funny.

A few names missing, Kevin Davies, Mark Viduka, Yakubu, Peter Crouch, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink all knew where the goal was and didn't make the headlines like many of those listed.

I've decided Vardy isn't underrated at all, changed my vote. Everyone bangs on about Vardy like he's the blessed son of football these days.

I remember being gutted that we ditched our Morata bid to buy him. In hindsight I’m glad we have neither now, be nice if we replaced him long term with Haaland but I think he’s destined for City. Spew.

I voted for Defoe because I'm biased. Couple others that deserve a mention though I reckon.

Giroud being one, even by his own managers. Been a second choice striker for like 4 or 5 years now yet always seems to pop up with goals when he gets chances, scores in some big games as well.

Yakubu as well, bloke was a ****ing unit and had a decent enough strike rate.

Giroud is underrated, bet Arsenal could do with him in the squad right about now. Pops up when you least expect, scores important goals not just random nice looking ones on occasion to keep him around the team.

Edin Dzeko was a decent player too, got drowned out by the sheer ****ing brilliance of Aguero though.

Vardy getting too much hype considering he was only good enough for the top flight for half his career

Robbie Keane should be on that list with his 126 goals...Vardy on alot less
