Again, O'Neill for me was fantastic. Now, did he take th game by the balls and have any kind of one man show? No. But what he did do was barely make a mistake, play a real part in attacking play, keep possession and had brilliant off the ball movement. There were a number of great runs he made where he lost his marker but was sadly not seen by the player with the ball. He supported Austin very well, in my opinion. I don't think he'll get enough credit for that performance. Who is your quiet man of the match?
Sorry mate wasn't at the game and couldn't get a stream so can't comment on this but what's important is that as many players as possible play well. We're going to need all of them on top of their game to get out of this division. O'Neils versatility will make him an important player for us. Harry seems to like him.
He seems to me motm every time I'm not there but does nothing when I watch him where he's tidy but creates nothing.
I've seen him in CM, AM and RW. I expect a RW and AM to create or score chances. Getting that from a CM is a bonus. Edit I'll give him an assist for the penalty so well done there.
O'Neil said in a radio interview last month he's been brought in to play anywhere across the midfield and he's happy to do that to get game-time. He's the type of utility player that every team needs and his winning experience is a big bonus. Another signing that's gone over Flyer's head...
Not really, Im quite happy for him to play CM if needed but up until yesterday he offered nothing going forward.
