I figured out whodunnit really early on then felt insulted when he slowly revealed what I already knew. I did exactly the same thing with Digital Fortress, only I was even more convinced I knew whodunnit that time since various parts of the plot were similar to The Divinci Code. I gave up on Dan Brown after that, awful author.

I quite enjoyed the Da Vinci code, figured out the plot pretty early on too, but I'd got a big hardback copy of it, that had got pictures of all the artwork, statues with all the "clues", which made it pretty interesting. I found Angels and Demons quite boring though, and never finished Digital Fortress.

would that really matter though ? A good book can be read many times....not that I`m suggesting dan brown has ever written a good book.

Aye, well, it does feel a bit patronising when details of what you probably already know are being explained like you are a simpleton.

There you go Mick - knew we'd agree on something eventually <laugh>

Enid bloody Blyton <steam>

As if 5 kids would meet up for every school 'hols' and stumble across a mystery and solve it just like that.
Same format, same characters. None of them getting bumped off. Phhht.
Complete waste of my time reading them. I even gave them a chance to see of they improved, by reading the whole set.

And as for that bloody dog in every book. Who calls their dog 'Timmy' anyway?

Rant over
