    I was absolutely gobsmacked by this player yesterday. Ba. Never seen him play before. Amazing.

    I think Newcastle has struck gold. He was the best striker on the pitch yesterday and gave the United (not very good) defense a hard time. To think that in addition to getting £35 million, you get this player and the same time you lumber your rivals (the scousers) with a donkey.

    Well done Newcastle. Good and deserved victory yesterday too

    He's the best we've had since shearer in his pomp in my opinion. he can score from anywhere, any angle etc. I just hope the fact that he has a supposedly dodgy knee wards off any of the rich clubs from chancing their arm with a bid.

    Yes true - Newcastle United are the only team in the premieship who are officialy "United" given that they brought together two teams when they formed, but how did Demba terrorise his own defence.... You iz not makin sense boi!

    Sorry for trawling the boards guys - well done last night - have to agree with the OP about Ba - he's awesome - Bruce turned him down and Pardew signed him - show's who's the better manager out of those 2 doesn't it!!

    I believe if we'd signed him Bruce would still be at the club - not sure if that'd be good or bad as I know, points wise, we'd be better off - not only can he score the "right place right time" goals but he can score the long rangers, free-kicks, penalties, and from just about anywhere - great signing for you guys

    Well he rejected a number of teams to join us, so doubt he would have joined you over us tbh lol.

    Yeah, I agree he is a top striker - hope he doesn't get injured in ACON, would be our luck if he did.
