Now for starters tonight was absolutely fantastic, made even sweeter for me by watching it in Liverpool with several Liverpool fans in attendance. However, realistically we didnt deserve a win from that game. We didnt turn up until the last 15 mins and until that point we were kept in it by Paddy Kenny who's come in for a lot of stick recently. Tonight though was so important, because for the first time ever and its taken long enough, neither Joey Barton or SWP spent the whole time on the pitch. Hughes gets a 10/10 for me for finally dropping SWP from the line up and even more importantly finally seeing that Barton was the worst player on the pitch and take him off.

We have to build on this piece of luck (which we definetely deserved after so much bad luck this season) and get something from the game at Sunderland. Its great to win this game, however if we dont build on it, it will have all been for nothing. If we do, then as confidence increases, we might manage to stay up. Hughes has to keep this going though by keeping SWP and Barton off the pitch. And finally for all Mackie haters, do you see know why us Mackie lovers like him? He fights for the ball, puts defenders under pressure and can actually finish

    Player Ratings
Kenny 8 - one of his best performances in a while, kept us in the game in the 1st half and was unlucky for both goals
Traore 6 - personally didnt understand why he was taken off, looked good going forward and kept Downing and Kuyt under reasonable control at the back
Ferdinand 4 - was getting run ragged by Suarez, dissapeared for the 2nd goal
Onuoha 5 - looked shaky at the back, did however deal with corners quite well
Young 6 - solidifed the RB position and kept Downing under control. Did get run past a few times however will improve with match fitness
Derry 9 MOTM - dominating performance from Derry and looked even better once the cancer was removed
Diakite 8 - made several good deep runs that caused liverpool problems. Also appears to have learnt when and how to tackle
Barton 1 - best thing he did all night was get off the pitch
Taarabt 6 - tried a lot of tricks often to no avail, just needs a goal to pick up his confidence
Cisse 7 - scored a great goal however was kept under control by Liverpools back 4 for the majority of the game
Zamora 6 - won a lot in the air including the decisive header for the winner however his general hold up play was poor

    Subs
Taiwo 5 - looked very suspect at the back but was good going forward
Mackie 8 - chased everything down, put the back 4 under pressure as he always does and took his chance when he got it

Diakite an 8 is absolutely criminal. Although normally a big fan of him, in the first half he had a pass completion rate of 10% and in the second it slightly improved. Every time he got the ball I was nervous. I think the rest are very fair, a 1 for Barton maybe a bit harsh, maybe more of a 3 :p

Well at least there is a chink of light now. 4 pts against Sunderland and Arsenal at home then suddenly we have half a chance of surviving.

Didn't Traore get injured making that great saving tackle on Adam? There was a glimse on the TV of him rolling around in apparent agony holding his leg, but the cameras concentrated on Adam.

I thought Traore was a 6 or 7, but Taiwo did good for me both defensively and going forward -a 6 or 7 too.

Yeh, we could have been 2 or 3 down in the first 15 minutes when we were totally outplayed, but we were on a par with Pool from halfway through the first half onwards, so our fantastic win wasn't undeserved, the draw would have been well ok on the way the game went, but we needed those 3 points! Thanks Jamie!

Diakite was poor in the first 10 mins, however after that and especially in the 2nd half, he was the one, taking the ball out from the back and running past 2 or 3 players in the process. Barton maybe can go up a point or 2 now after finally admitting he had a **** game

It will be if we survive. MH gets a big tick for subbing Barton and benching SWP but will mean nothing if he starts them on sat. Have a feeling Barton will be on the team sheet.

Well done against Liverpool.Gives you a fighting chance. We've been on a bit of a bad run but should at least restrict Wolves to a point.

3 pts much needed and a comeback like this should have great knock on effects on the players and I was very pleased with the reaction of some of the players at the end of the match, they genuinely looked like this had affected them and were showing how much this meant to them.

Now we need to Kick on and carry this forward into the next game, MH needs to use the power of this to keep the players on a high for Sunderland game, fortunately we don’t have to wait to long for it.

Wolves are looking proper pony - they'd be lucky to get a point, but the Canaries are having their wobble at the right time. They are safe with those points already amassed
