put reasons if you like. (if the team you want isn't there post it) I'm going for chavski tbh, imo the worst thing to happen to football in this country. flat out purchased the only noteworthy success the club has had in over 100yrs and it certainly shows with the arrogance of the fans. they had drogba with acting skills only matched by people with Oscar awards, Robben the flying Dutchman, john BNP Terry the wife shagger, all of which I dislike with a passion and they currently have "the spastic one" back again, a disgusting man imo. the Luis Suarez of managers if you will. anyway thats my vote.......have fun boy's ... (poll to follow)
Has to be Chelsea. Main reason is that Russian **** that came over and ruined the transfer market. Plus the majority of their fans are so plastic, some even admit that they used to support Man Utd (Cpolof). I don't mind some of the posters on here (Drogs etc), but the majority are absolutely clueless about anything football related.
The main reason people will either vote Man Utd or Liverpool is simply because we are by far (a country mile in fact) the two most successful teams in England - people really don't like that fact
I think in recent years its more the constant bringing up of the European cup wins that no one else cares about and the next year will be our year in Liverpool's case I'd say the Utd fans that post on this forum are a pretty good example of why people dislike them
obviously arsenal fans don't care about winning the European cup.... just qualifying for it, or so it seems
I'm not talking about me, that's just one of the reasons why Liverpool have some haters I wouldn't really care if Arsenal had won European cups before I was born. It's like 1966, means FA to me
Chelsea because of how they achieved their success. Liverpool and Man Utd should have the respect that goes with earning their success, not having it bought by a Russian Oligarch.
Chelsea. You can respect United as a club, and City have always had great fans. Chelsea? Maybe not the fault of the fans but their club is a joke.
In some ways City were worse though. Chelsea already had a decent team and might at least have been in the champions league sometimes even without roman. City were just a nothing without the money
Chelsea had the benefit of Matthew Harding's money to get the decent team. Abramovich just stepped it up a mile.
1st team to "real madrid" the prem thats for sure and that is a major reason for them being hated I agree, the way the club conducts itself is also a big reason for me. the capture of rivals transfer targets and then basically wasting them away on the bench or on loan to a "lesser side" and or flat out ending careers more or less. "tap-gate" when they actually had a transfer embargo enforced for tapping up other clubs player's showed the sheer disrespect the club have for other teams. also the desperate way they sacked manager after manager in pursuit of ole big ears. no class or humility just threw more money at the problem til eventually they did win it..... then sack that manager because he simply wasnt fashionable enough. have I missed anything?
Can you get more of a topsy turvy comment? Contradictory to say the least. Classic Spurs line. Have Spurs not had the benefit of anybody's money over the past 20 years then? Pure envy. oh to answer the OP, it's United and Chelsea.
Classic Spurs line or not, it's still true. The Harding money would have been more limited and not much different to what Walker did for Blackburn etc, though sadly he wasn't around long enough. The fact is though that it was a short cut to success, which Spurs have never, to my knowledge, ever done. We invest what the business can afford. To me sport should have an equal playing field, when one or two teams can outspend year after year all the others, the sport is devalued. I don't want Spurs to be like Chelsea, I want nobody to be like Chelsea. I wouldn't gain any satisfaction from winning titles that were bought with Abramovich's money.
Wow. Never realised Chelsea had got into Liverpool fans' heads this much. We have replaced them as United's main rivals, that must hurt. And we are flying the flag for England in Europe as they once did. Their top player and favourite manager betrayed them to join us too. But still... This anti-Chelsea compulsion is incredible. We have created the ScouseMatth: arise Scouse jihadi and militant Kops'n'Rodgers. CPoL you must take some responsibly for radicalising this former normal 606 user.
Surely this is hypothetical. How do you know how you would feel until it happens? You beat Arsenal 4-0 to win the European cup. As the fourth goes in, you leave the stadium before the end, thinking, I just can't enjoy this, our net spend was bigger than Arsene's! Spurs spent big in the 80s to win the title: waddle, Gazza etc. and overspent under Irving scholar I think too?
well said disciple good to see us all getting along while in the midst of healthy adult debate. well done chaps well done.
