Unbelievable, Jeff http://aff010.infototive.com/categories/sports/most-expensive-tickets-in-the-premier-league/
Arsenal season ticket holders had to buy tickets for some games like Bayern at about £90 a pop the robbing buggers.
Considering the high unemployment in the north west, I am surprised to see Liverpool in at 3rd place! West Ham in 4th is also shocking, given the horrible football they are playing. I wonder if the Saints fans will be happy this season? Currently 6th highest for a ST, and they could end up a shadow of last seasons team.
They seem to have sold the 'crown jewels' and will also be getting a new manager. Will be interesting to see who they sign and whether or not they have any other stars of the future coming through their academy.
Liverpool prices look to have shot up a lot in recent years, they used to be seen as excellent value. No sign of Man City in the list which is a bit surprising.
Arsenal equates, on the basis of nineteen league home matches per season, to just a tad below £52 per game
And for my season ticket in the N&P, I'm paying just over £20 per game - I know which I'd prefer and I'm quite happy not seeing OVERPAID stars at CR and wondering how many we'll lose by!!!!!
I think they also get something like the first six home cup games included in that as well, whether they be League Cup or Champions League group stages. Still bloody expensive though! I was expecting to see Koo Pee Arr in that list somewhere? I'm also surprised that Liverpool's cost so much
You're right, they do. I think they can choose which cup games to attend as well, although that's obviously a dangerous game...
I really don't see what the problem is. My eldest son lives in London and supports Arsenal. After several years on the waiting list he has got a season ticket for next season and is absolutely delighted - if I lived in London I would be happy to pay £50 a game to watch the Gunners. If they cut prices would they get bigger crowds? - They can't as they sell out every game including the ones where everybody pays!! You get what you pay for. Do you think ticket prices at the Royal Albert Hall, Saddlers Wells or Covent Garden are the same as the Theatre Royal. What was better value for money last year? £50 a game to watch Arsenal or half that to watch the garbage at Carrow Road? Talk about wanting it all ways. People want to watch the best league in the world but don't want rich owners funding Clubs, don't want Sky and their money and want ticket prices slashed - really? If you don't want or can't pay big prices don't go to a Premiership game - go and watch a lower league Club. If you don't want to pay that go to a non league Club and if that is too much go to Hackney Marshes or your local park. It's called choice.
Away tickets for our games at the Emirates have been £25.50 for the past two seasons which is incredible value in today's market, however I've not read one positive piece about that at all, the media would rather concentrate on that one game where they charged Man City £62 or whatever it was.
I went to Arsenal Liverpool last year in the FA cup and paid £50, for a day out that isn`t too bad .
