three-quarters of the 20 managers polled say that Tottenham are the most entertaining side to watch in England's top flight. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17368569 -------------------------- Nice to know we're appreciated
I see Brenda Rodgers got the "most impressive manager" award. - not at all surprising and fully deserved. I wouldn't be surprised if Swansea were second choice for most of those managers for the"most entertaining side to watch" award too.
If Harry goes I'd like him to take over...His football ideas are so good ... I think he'll be a great choice.
Lets see how he does next season. A lot of sides have come up and done well first season and been found out second season. Reading finished 8th in their first season in the PL, only to get relegated the next season. Does anyone want Steve Coppell?
Far too big a risk IMO you need a man with huge experience to manage a club like Spurs. Just look at AVB at Chelsea he may well be a top manager but his inexperience told in the end. It's not just the football you have to handle the politics as well.
i'll second rcl, rodger's has got Swansea playing good football, but i think martinez started it when he was manager there
Assuming that you can't vote for your own team, that means that only 4 managers that were able to didn't vote for us. I wonder who they were? The vote for Rodgers must've been across the board, not just the Premier League, as you can't get 47% of 20. Swansea have had a great season, managing to combine attractive football and positive results, which is incredibly difficult for most sides in this division, let alone a newly promoted one. Fully deserved.
I think it has been reported somewhere, and I can't remember where I saw this, that the results are based on the 16 PL managers who voted, as 4 couldn't be arsed to. As for Brendan Rodgers to succeed Harry, not for me thanks. We had the same clamour for Coyle last season and I pointed out then his pitfalls. For me, Rodgers poor spell at Reading is still fresh in my mind, and whilst his sides performances this season are undoubtedly a credit to him, I prefer to see how he does next season before re-considering my views. I believe George Burley received similar acclaim a few years ago.........
It was highly entertaining slapping you plums 4-0 though, in the return we even sent a team with no manager and you still couldn't beat that!...why are you here?
I think spurs are generally poor to watch and play the long ball alot. Sorry but thats how I feel. You were very good to watch for about 10 games in the mdidle of the season though. I will give you that. Maybe that was when the poll was done. As for best football its obviously us. We are fluet and free flowing again now and are a joy to watch.
Yes, I think it's fair to say that is the most incisive comment I've read. I think it rings true, we've been teatering with something great for years now, certainly since 2005/6 under Jol. If we finish 5th and are not winners of the FA Cup then I'd consider that the scenario you refer too.
Assuming you can't vote for your own side, who are the four who say we aren't? I think we can all guess one of them...
